Have you ever worked in customer support and support engineering? These things take time... ALWAYS. Rivian needs to figure out what is wrong, what VIN numbers might be impacted, and find a solution, test a solution, then deploy a plan to fix the solution (documentation, order needed parts...
Vehicles can remain at the factory for many different reasons. For example.. didn't pass the initial inspection. Not a big deal.. just means they caught something you likely would have caught at delivery, and they took the time to go fix it at the factory.
And the last think Rivian needs is service appointments taken up by people who simply want to swap tires. You would think that making it a user selectable feature would be a high highly beneficial to rivian.
Yesterday the shop was very full and new R1S' were being added all day. I snagged my Limestone/OC... and I had just about every combo of Limestone/OC to pick from (LE/AE, 20s, 21, 22, etc.) Pretty easy to find what you are looking for.
Yes I was only looking at Limestone. I an there were a few. I could have grabbed on that matched with the 20s. Funny thing is... I think I like the Adventure tag in the dash better than Launch edition tag... so I actually didn't really want an LE. Price wise it didn't help.me b3cauae I wanted...
