The most frustrating thing of it all is that they 100% put themselves into these situations. I know I’m not getting my truck tomorrow and I know the email is either going to tell me my timeline hasn’t changed or it’s pushed out. But what drives me wild is they keep setting these deadlines on...
I’ve noticed that it seems like a lot of the wild R1 delivery times are happening in SoCal. They need to share some of that love with us up here in Northern Cal.
I noticed in the code when you're logged in now, there's this: "eligibleForNewVehicleInventoryMarketplace":null," I don't remember seeing this one before. So, my guess is once you are eligible, this would show "true" or something like that for the R1Shop. ?‍♂️
This is great @CarterGee. Thanks for sharing.
As a fellow Bay Area driver, would love to hear your experience driving in traffic in the Bay Area. No specific questions, just in general.
Also unofficially out. We are super bummed. My config is now well over $90k and I just simply don't want to spend that. I expected some increase, few thousand... maybe $6k, but a 20% increase is just insanity.
The more I thought about it, too, I agree with others who are expressing concern that...
We're looking to add a second car in 2022 and definitely want to go the EV route, but the market right now is just not good. I'm holding out that Rivian can actually deliver my R1T on the July-October timeframe I was given. Otherwise, very interested in the Polestar 3 or even the Ioniq 5. Sadly...
To me, the big miss here is only having Spotify for streaming music which is where CarPlay and even Android Auto come in for people. I'll certainly just play music from Apple Music through Bluetooth, but that just seems weird when driving a $70K+ brand new car.
In my current car, I gave up the...
I think I saw someone else mention it in another thread, but yeah, for sure. Particularly for non-LE holders like myself. It's looking like those will not begin delivery until very late 2022 or even into 2023 which at that point, will they really still be the 2022 R1T? And if not, will be...
Morgan Stanley transfers seem to be extremely slow. I accidentally transferred to the wrong Morgan Stanley account (not the one the DSP is in) so now I'm trying to do an internal MS to MS transfer and it still doesn't show the full amount of my transfer into MS as being available. Hoping it's...
If you didn't previously get invited to the event in Sonoma, like me, then you'll be surprised to learn that now anyone can sign up for the event (minus driving privileges). Here's the link: https://rivian.com/events/sonoma-r1t-preview
Will definitely be continuing to track progress and see how things go forward. I'm a later reservation holder (June 2021), so realize lots of people before me. Next year will be when I determine if I can wait for late 2022 or 2023 for the R1T as we head back to the office part-time and will...
Thanks for sharing this. The CS person I talked to just said something along the lines of, "if you don't get an invite now, there will be other opportunities later this year and next year." Maybe they'll be able to open it up more like they did in Normal once people RSVP.
Ah yeah, I guess I'm not LE... just pre-order. Bummer. Was hoping to check it out sooner rather than later as I look to make my decision on waiting for the R1T or getting a different EV in early-mid 2022.
