Cool,
Im thinking about adding lights.
How does the routing for the wiring to battery look like.
Also the switches.
Im looking for some bluetooth enabled switches so i dont need a switch in the car.
I had to have my TPMS programmed twice for it to work. 1st time my spare rims were around, so the tpms on those might have confused the computer. 2nd time rims were far away. Drove a few miles and it worked to my surprise.
Tire shop also only had the program for the R1S and not my R1T. Used it...
I was talking to a Lightning owner who was taking pics of my truck at an EA charger. He had F150’s previously and would never go back to an ICE F150.
He convinced his other F150 friends also.
I noticed Lightning has more rear leg room space and its frunk has a low loading point compared to R1T.
Rims are great.
Towed 6000 lbs on low for 60 miles. No rubbing.
Lowest has some rubbing on sharp turns and bumps.
Usually drive in standard in the snow.
I tested 275/65/20 on 20x9 +25
No steering rub on Lowest.
Just did a static test today with a front tire for brake caliper clearance. Need to relocate wheel balance weights before doing rolling tests.
Will drive the car next week on this rim/tire combo to check bump rubbing on low and lowest.
I welded some metal and made the hitch step to reach things in the basket from the tail end and a place to step while securing loads from the tail end.
Over the steel, on top i put some rubber grip pads.
Lite reflector stickers on the front.
It also might help parking lot rear end collisions...
I will be in Tahoe next week. Would love to do some side by side tests using various winter tires. I have a set of Nokian LT3 studded winters on 20’s.
