  1. Rivian Service / Remote Care - Official Info Release!

I'm sad that they didn't edit out the prototype in-bed rail mount points in this photo.
  2. Communication Cadence

Two communications and blog posts within a week. Can we expect this to continue till June?
  3. Rivian opening first Chicago showroom in Fulton Market

I drove by last weekend and the site did not look much different than my previous photo. I plan to keep checking in and posting updates as I see them.
  4. Hello from Chicagoland area

I'm not sure there is such a need in the city and suburbs. I'd probably like to see more along the routes out of / through our unadventurous state. I'm holding out hope that is is just the initial batch with more to come. It's great news to see them planning so many locations. I just hope they...
  5. Personal / Vanity Plates, Anyone?

Last year they went through and made everybody get rid of their vanity plates. ...at least according to the angry Tesla Forum: https://forums.tesla.com/discussion/171066/illinois-plates I guess I haven't been out much in the past year.
  6. Vent, B!tch & Moaning for the mis-"Guided"

That's the "over deliver": in-bed rails!
  7. Personal / Vanity Plates, Anyone?

I've seen a few vanity plates on Teslas before in Chicago. And I just ordered "EV MOTO" for my electric motorcycle.
  8. Possible Power Tailgate for R1S??

For the right handed people of the world. Designers alway forget about us lefties.
  9. What's your next car after Rivian?

Maybe we'll finally have true hoverboards and flying cars?
  10. Introducing Rivian Guides Program: A dedicated Guide for your entire Rivian ownership

"Guide" sounds like a rebranding of "Customer Support Representative." It'd be trivial to route all calls, texts, and emails from a known contact, or set of contacts, to a specific rep. Don't get me wrong , it sounds like a great way for them to interact with their LE customers, but technically...
  11. Flat towing a Rivian

So one person hangs out in the Rivian streaming Amazon Prime videos while it is tow charged behind your RV or whatever. Then every once in a while you unhook and drive to deplete the battery. Sure it takes more people and kinda sounds like a PITA, but that's the Adventure™!
  12. Who will get theirs first?

Home delivery is primary. See discussion on this thread. Chicago showroom might be a while. Here's a pic from last week on this thread.
  13. Extended Cab

Don't extended cabs generally have a more vertical wall at the back of the cab? That way they can throw two tiny seats in there sideways. The gear tunnel would not be able to follow the slope of the back seats from the quad cab, and I think it would lose significant space in an extended cab version.
  14. Rivian opening first Chicago showroom in Fulton Market

It might be a while before we see Rivians sitting in a showroom in Chicago.
  15. What are you currently driving? (Glamour Shots)

⬅ I'll be charging that in the bed of my R1T. Maybe just transporting it. We'll see.
