I'm not sure there is such a need in the city and suburbs. I'd probably like to see more along the routes out of / through our unadventurous state. I'm holding out hope that is is just the initial batch with more to come.

So one person hangs out in the Rivian streaming Amazon Prime videos while it is tow charged behind your RV or whatever. Then every once in a while you unhook and drive to deplete the battery. Sure it takes more people and kinda sounds like a PITA, but that's the Adventure™!
Don't extended cabs generally have a more vertical wall at the back of the cab? That way they can throw two tiny seats in there sideways. The gear tunnel would not be able to follow the slope of the back seats from the quad cab, and I think it would lose significant space in an extended cab version.
