  1. What is a good charger adaptor?

Ah. J-1772 is just for AC charging. What you are describing would be a CHAdeMO to CCS Type 1 adapter. Hypothetically that would allow you to take advantage of the higher rate DC charging capability. Unfortunately, that type of adapter does not exist.
  2. What is a good charger adaptor?

What other adapters are you looking to get? Tesla is basically the only other common standard for level 1 and level 2 vehicle charging. If you are talking about adapters for the Rivian portable charger for outlets you might use at a campground, there is really only one. I'd recommend getting an...
  3. DIY Tonneau Repairs? Anyone try to do this yet?

Go for it. It's not too bad of a job if you take your time.
  4. Rodent chewed through wire harness, causing $7K repair (and $1650 towing)

The rodents were probably not inside the waterproof part of the truck. The cab and gear tunnel are the only water proof parts. Most of the wiring is outside that. The wiring is waterproofed by being wrapped in insulation and using waterproof connectors.
  5. Bumper/Wheel Damage while recovering a stuck Subaru. Rivian replacing R1T bumper for $750

It looks like you just have some more "character" on your rim now. ? I've got some scratches similar to that from some rocky off-roading, but maybe not quite as deep. I like to think of them as evidence of fun / use. Is the rim damage causing any functional issues, or is it just cosmetic...
  6. Automatic Garage Door Open/Close?

Through Home Assistant using custom software on an ESP8266 microcontroller as the opener. The second half of that probably isn't required. I'd assume a smart garage door opener that is compatible with Alexa should work... But maybe it's just some lucky magic of the call going through Home Assistant.
  7. Hood flutter in the wind

The weird thing is I don't know if it was the rose colored glasses I was wearing for the first 6k miles, or if the many miles (4k+) of driving on I-80 at 70-80mph and all the fluttering that eventually stressed the hood enough for the "dent" to appear.
  8. Hood flutter in the wind

That's my assumption too. I'll let you all know what Service says when they look at it in January. ?
  9. Rivian Portable Charger cannot be powered by the Rivian

At least it's confirmed by another. This seems like a huge miss for Rivian.
  10. Hood flutter in the wind

Not only does mine flutter at speed and is easily observable in relation to the fenders, but appears dented too. Luckily the "dent" disappears at lower speeds. I'm waiting to hear back from service about it.
  11. Halloween Mode confirms RGB interior accent lights

You can just disable them. I find them way too bright for any setting and just have them set to off.
  12. FOREST GREEN R1T Photos

A few shots from a recent camping trip in CO.
  13. Washer Fluid Reminds Me of Something...

Maybe it's just an additive like this: Wiper Breeze is a unique fluid additive that refreshes the interior of your car every time you spray your windshield. In short, it allows you to turn your wiper fluid into an auto air freshener. Simply pour 1 package (1 oz.) of Wiper Breeze into your wiper...

  15. Rivian Portable Charger cannot be powered by the Rivian

I'd like to have the possibility to charge other electric vehicles (mainly my motorcycle) from the 120v outlet on my R1T. Unfortunately the Rivian Portable Charger does not like the floating ground provided by the on board inverter for 120v. When I plug it in, the light flashes from white to...
  16. Pixel 4a stopped working PaaK

Android 13 has been plagued by Bluetooth issues. For me the process of adding PaaK has always been a bit troublesome. One time I got it to work by letting the app wait in its loop and going to the bluetooth menu and manually pairing with "Rivian 6" (I think that was the name of the device on the...
  17. Tonneau cover issues

This other thread has a lot of good info. Here are a couple key posts: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/diy-tonneau-repairs-anyone-try-to-do-this-yet.6208/post-164780 https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/diy-tonneau-repairs-anyone-try-to-do-this-yet.6208/post-171070
