Got another question for the Rivian Tire Experts.
Dropped the truck at the service center this morning. They are telling me they have (4) of the Goodyears coming in today, and if they get there can get them installed for me.
How important is it that I have a spare tire that matches? I have a...
Same.
Interestingly enough, the trucks cell antenna is much stronger than my phones antenna. I can often makes calls using WiFi calling through the truck that I could not make through my phone by itself. I'm at that location 3 days a week usually, and spend more time on the phone than I care...
Thanks for the feedback. I've asked the service center if these are available, we'll see what they say.
Truck can definitely feel peppier. The 275/50/20 Goodyears are about 6lbs/tire LIGHTER than the stock Pirelli AT's. SO you're look at 36bls of rotating mass.
No idea if it still hold true...
No worries. Thanks for the reply, I figured it was a long shot.
Service center moved my appointment up to this Wednesday. I'll see if they have a set, and go from there.
Cheers!
Interesting that the service center had them "on the shelf". I'll shoot them a message and see if I can "one stop shop" since they'll have the truck in there anyway.
Appreciate the tip!

Any idea what's going on with supply? I was ready to pull the trigger this morning and looks like they aren't in stock at TireRack :(
Have an appointment on the 22nd to get new front dampers installed and the truck aligned at Rivian Service Center. Then I'll be taking it directly to...
I've found it to be a huge "minus" for the user experience. It's something that doesn't work right, and it's the very first interaction I have with the vehicle multiple times a day. I don't even get to experience all the great things about the truck unless I wade through an awful experience to...
I don't hate technology this much. I hate when this level of tech doesn't work as advertised. I also like to try new things. I'll certainly be moving backwards in the level of "connected vehicle" I own moving forward.
While I knew what I was getting into, I sure as sh!t didn't think it would...
100% agreed there. I'll take vampire drain all day in my "normal" use, and then a more aggressive protection for things like parking at the airport for vacation.
Would be nice if we could "schedule" the sleep mode, or otherwise control it. Almost like the difference on a windows machine between...
100% a "wake/sleep" issue. I've found PaaK and the Fob both respond almost instantly when the truck is "awake", but if I walk up and it's "asleep", then I'm waiting for it to wake before I get access. App behaves the same way.
Probably a hardware limitation, but sure would be nice to have a...
Appreciate the sanity check here. Glad I'm not the only one that has this thought process.
Things on this list for me:
"Digital" HVAC vent control
12V center console access
Entry/Exit access strategies
Fully electric tailgate
Fully Electric hood latches
Lack of Physical Key
The fob is absolutely a BT connection, not a standard RF connection. Rivian has touted this as necessary for added security pretty much since day one. That added security juice isn't worth the PIA squeeze required from the BT connection.
Here's a quick google search result:
The fob access on...
The vents are the second largest point of frustration for me. I want more than two positions and I adjust the vents multiple times per drive. I took a test drive and didn't like them, thought I was just being too critical about them. Nope, they suck FAR FAR worse than I expected.
For me.....that will be the loss of a customer. I won't own another vehicle that requires a bluetooth connection to enter, or that requires electric power to exit.
Electric door latches are a step too far in the wrong direction and I won't own another Rivian because of it. So I'm giving my...
Yeap, My token was invalidated as well. Had I been using PaaK I would have been locked out AGAIN as the app wouldn't open or allow access to the vehicle. Got the same email from ElectraFi as well.
There has to be a better system to alert users instead of just "timing out". A simple "Your token...
I have this same issue. truck has pulled since day one. Multiple tires replaced, multiple alignments. Still pulls like dammit to the right, worse on heavy power/regen application. Rivian claims it's the tires wearing unevenly, and they won't address it again until I put new tires on it. My faith...
Been replaced under warranty twice in 48wks of ownership. First one "Wasn't coded properly" and bricked the truck. Second one went in the next day. That was around late May. No data on voltage levels, or how often the truck wakes to recharge it.
