No, both batteries will be replaced. The single battery update has a capacitor in place of the secondary battery, but not backward compatible with the early 2 battery system.
(The mobile service guy just left an hour ago after replacing my dual batteries, due to dash warning icon illuminated)
I had to dive in and figure this out in December.
I made my first SC appointment in 2+ years of ownership for 3 items: panel alignment, door adjustment, & tonneau cover seal hanging. Initially, all items were invoiced at $0, and I signed it. A week before the appointment, a second invoice...
The delete of the frunk 12v hasn't bothered me as much as I thought. My build still has the cut off wires to the location, so I can add it if I need.
But I use the front cab 12v a lot & would miss it if mine didn't have one.
Some of the reasons I'll never give up my Gen 1 quad.
Still loving my R1T after 2 years.
I didn't bother to schedule service for minor issues noted at delivery as I expected to eventually need service & would have them taken care of then. 20,000 trouble free miles later I don't even notice the minor issues anymore.
With the software improving so...
Both of mine are still on V03.00.30. Never got any update since original installations over a year ago.
Both show the voltage & current on the app while charging, but no real useful info.
I have the F40C4TMP cooler and it fits perfectly on top of the subwoofer with the rear passenger side seat flipped forward. The cord can go into the gear tunnel for power, or to the 12v cab receptacle if your truck has one.
Thanks for posting.
I get what you mean about being more focused while using Driver+. I do that too.
I've experienced a few incidents that made me uncomfortable.
One time Highway Assist tried to take an exit off the freeway, so I disengaged. The next time it tried to do the same on a...
I've seen mention of this behavior before, but I can report my truck has only rarely done this (maybe 3 or 4 times in the 12,000+ miles I've owned it). I always use the auto setting for the wipers, and hit the button on the stalk to give a quick wipe in misting conditons.
I've had my R1T 9 months and never smelled anything until today. I noticed the smell you describe with the A/C on or off only when I use recirculated air. When using fresh air setting, I didn't notice the smell.
I have the same problem, couple updates back the incompatible message came up when I tried to update. I hoped I would be able to continue on with the app version on my phone, but today the app is demanding an update before it will open. I’m not pleased with this as I don’t want to be forced to...
Took mine off the day of delivery just to see, & the wheels had started to show scuff marks.
Presumably from the shipping to the west coast, as the truck had only 18 miles. I'd planned to use them when on long trips, but haven't figured out a way to protect the wheels from scuffing yet.
Yeah, it was the very first update I got after delivery of my truck, so I noticed it change. Keep expecting a fix every update, but no go. The manual still says it will change to the next favorite station. Can't see any logical reason the update would intentionally change this behavior, so I'm...
I reported this to Rivian service, rep had me do infotainment reset, full reset, no help. He had me standby while he went to check operation on a truck he had access to, and confirmed it scanned through favorites as it should. Booked me a service appointment.
Today I had the service...
It seems incredible that the wiring would be gone if indeed the 12v frunk outlet is coming back for good. It's common for auto wire harnesses to have wiring stowed for options that aren't used. Maybe they just did a better job at securing the unused wires, so they're not visible from the light...
Had the same concern about the tiger striping before taking delivery in Sept, but seems like it's been solved as I haven't seen any mention of it since last summer. Mine is fine.
Noticed the aero cover wear beginning when my truck was first delivered.
Removed covers with plan to apply teflon rub tape to wheels at wear points. It will be a tedious job to cut & apply, so keep putting it off.
Protection has to be applied to wheel, not the cover.
I had expected this issue to be fixed with the 2022.43.2 update. After updating last night, I found it didn't change. Annoying. At least my "roomy entry" feature worked.
