Less impressive, but I drove my R1S with OEM 21s on twisty roads over the Middlebury Snowbowl mountain in unplowed blizzard conditions last month. I put the car in snow mode and made it up and over without sliding. More like 20-30 mph.
I’ve liked Michelins on other cars and hear good things...
In the past when Safelite couldn’t calibrate a Tesla windshield and required a Tesla Service Center visit afterwards, I instead got a new windshield installed by a Tesla certified body shop that could do both.
Last summer when my chipped R1S windshield turned into a crack overnight, Safelite...
I got a chip in my R1S windshield on a road trip last summer after a year of driving. Got home, but the next morning when I headed to Safelite it had turned into a 6 inch crack so I had to get it replaced (by a Rivian certified auto body shop because Safelite didn’t have equipment for camera...
I owned an early 2016 Model X P90Ds (March 2016 delivery) for 7 1/2 years. I liked the car and falcon wing doors, as my youngest was in a car seat and later a booster. I had only one door problem, when a sensor failed and detected phantom obstacles. I had half shafts and a front motor replaced...
when it works it’s handy, like getting the frunk or liftgate open when your hands are full. Unfortunately about half the time my watch tries and then says it can’t do it. No idea why.
I use it to make phone calls and play podcasts. I used it for music before native Apple Music arrived. Rivian needs to add a way to do voice search for Apple Music - it didn’t sound as good but was much easier asking Siri to play what I wanted.
Two things to check:
1) It defaults to current charge level as starting charge - you may need to edit that.
2) It defaults I think to 60 miles range on arrival - you can edit that to reduce.
No idea if it or ABRP factor in temp and wind.
They have some facilities there, and I think they may have had corporate headquarters registered there between their start in Florida and current HQ of Irvine, CA.
But not if it’s Romex? I think that’s what tripped me up in a conversion from NEMA 14-50 to Tesla Universal. Had to leave it at 50A breaker and 40A max charging.
You have all you need to install a Tesla Universal charger (TUWC), but you’ll have to set it to draw 40 rather than 48 amps (80% maximum for continuous loads). Still faster than a plug in charger at 32 amps, but not the max you can get out of the TUWC.
However if the wire you ran is the right...
Most of the time spent was way upstream of construction projects. The law was passed in late 2021, then federal funding and requirements had to be decided which took much of 2022 and into 2023. The states had to develop EV charging deployment plans to apply for the funding, and deployment could...
When are they going to enable playing Apple Music by voice? Sound isn't as good as the built-in app, but at least if I play over bluetooth I can ask Siri for music from my phone.
Also does anyone else get these odd responses to navigation requests, where it gets a local destination correctly...
