I also received the 'Get Ready for Your Digital Purchase' email a few hours ago. Config page hasn't changed for meâ'Configuration Confirmed' and 'Processing Estimate.'
I'm thinking of sending a text to the Inside Sales Guide to see what's going on.
I might need some help from the group on this one...
While I'm waiting for Customer Support to define what it means when my Custom Build status is "Processing Estimate" (and not expecting any sensible clarification), I received a message from an Inside Sales Guide at Rivian. (I've never...
LOL I just received a very similar response.
And I now feel dumber for having had to read and attempt to decipher it. ?
Also, I replied and again requested clarification on what âProcessing Estimateâ means. Surely they will know, right?! ?
I finally heard back from Support today and it was basically a non-answerâcan't give me any specifics on timing but should still fall within the "Aug-Sep" timeframe.
I am going to reply and ask them to clarify why things changed from "Aug-Sep" to "Processing Estimate." Certainly that means...
Good thinking. Love someone that knows how to check/ping the backend.
The chat is certainly more responsive (by default), but I find theyâre significantly less helpful. So, we can either wait and hope for a somewhat helpful response via email, or get a prompt but unhelpful response from chat...
Congrats and thanks for sharing.
Something seems off. I have been unsuccessfully trying to get someone from Rivian to provide me with an update for 10+ days. Iâve yet to receive a single response.
Agree. Everything Iâve seen over the years seems to indicate that it typically takes 2-4 weeks (trending toward the latter) from the sharing of the VIN to delivery.
@Scoiatael are you planning to replace your T with an S? Or adding an S to the home/family? Interesting youâre going from El Cap...
Itâs truly something that we live in a world where consumers (us) can pay ~$100k for something and be okay with the lack of professional, thoughtful communication from the vendor (e.g., a formal ordering and delivery process that establishes a consistent framework with realistic expecations)...
Thanks for chiming in. Not gonna lieâwas kinda hoping this was unique to me, which wouldâve potentially meant my VIN was getting ready to be processed. ?
Instead, now guessing that Rivian performed their quarterly database update, which means peoplesâ Estimated Delivery timeframes would have...
Congrats!
I had the Bowers & Wilkins system in my previous 2018 Volvo XC60 R-Design and that thing was a freaking concert hall. Never had anything like that. I would sit in that car and listen to music and just drool. Was especially fond of sitting and listening to Dave Grohlâs âPlayâ...
FWIW the âEstimated Deliveryâ section reappeared on my R1S Gen 2 custom build order page today; it now says âProcessing Estimate.â Of course, no clue what that actually means. ?
Interesting. Thanks for sharing. This process is very opaque. My ETA is Aug-Sep and I have this feeling itâll all happen very quicklyâonce it happens. But until that begins, Iâm totally in the dark. I want to be as proactively prepared as possible so Iâm not delaying anything.
Thanks! Do you get a call from anyone or an email describing what was about to get started and what to expect? Or was everything done via the website asynchronously?
That midnight with darkout will be nice. ?
What has been your process after âConfiguration Confirmedâ on your order page? What are the next âstepsâ in the process to expect?
This happened to me, too. I had to change my custom build config and the ETAtotally disappeared from my confirmation page on the website. Donât fretâapparently itâs a known issue (backend server stuff) and your ETA was unlikely to have changed. Rivian staff confirmed this for me.
