If I’m not mistaken, this is the guy who had a thread here a couple weeks ago complaining about service. I think the thread was titled “why not to buy a Rivian”. But he was a real belligerent a-hole. And when some of us tried to help him present his case in a less aggressive manner, he started...
First in: any R1 owners moving to an R2… I’ll take your crossbars off your hands…
Assuming the guy who painted “Rivian Is Junk” on the side of his truck doesn’t sell me his first…
Since this was your first visit, and you only have 7500 miles, I’m going to go out on a limb here and say there’s some warranty work that needs to be done, in addition to the tire rotation.
Check your service status in the app. They should list warranty items on the invoice/statement of work.
I’ve been tracking them for 6-8 months now, and overall, they’ve been pretty “meh”. Granted, I got one if the best lease deals back in August, 2024 ($600/mo, $0 down), but same price vehicle today is running at least $450-500 more per month…so almost double what I’m paying.
I’m hoping they run...
That’s about 50 miles more than my back. Seriously…2 hours tops and I’m having to stop & stretch. Might as well charge & pee while I’m at it…
Here’s the problem…posts like this are not helping your cause, and are most likely detrimental to your supposed goal: helping prospective buyers do research into Rivian Service before buying.
It’s not an unfair point, but there are better ways to conduct yourself on a public forum if you want...
Before I decided to lease, I did a lot of research, including lurking here for ~ 3 months. The result was me being 100% prepared for inconveniences when it came to service. The closest SC was 50 miles (but at least 1 1/2 drive around the Beltway), so I knew that going in. Luckily, they’ve opened...
Simply getting in, putting it in “drive”, and going. After decades of turning a key, then pushing a button, not having to do anything took a bit.
Oddly, I got the hang of 1-pedal driving on my test drive.
Interesting. I just looked them up, and there's one directly on my commute (at a Sheetz, which usually has Tesla chargers). Price shows as $0.39 as well:

I guess I know where to go once my free charging at work...
Trying to determine how that's different from El Cap Granite. I mean, side-by-side I'm sure there's a difference, but from the photos I've seen, I can't tell.
