  1. Entertainment System

Android auto is close to a deal breaker. It’s such an easy and intuitive way to have the best mapping available with the best voice assistant.
  2. Entertainment System

Cool it has Spotify...but my playlists are in YouTube Music...
  3. Door Locks - how do they operate in a Rivian?

That’s what I had read. I was hoping the thing about the fob was my misunderstanding. Seems like proximity should work with the fob too...
  4. Off-road package add-on and effect on range

I think the green one was having tail gate issues when I was there. Maybe that’s the issue? Not a good idea to show a non functioning tailgate at the hub...
  5. Off-road package add-on and effect on range

Tow hooks should be a pretty easy bolt on accessory. The frame should have the attachment points already.
  6. Door Locks - how do they operate in a Rivian?

I hope there are ways to control how quickly this happens. My Bolt locks before I can get around to open the door for my daughter sometimes. I also hope it automatically unlocks and presents the door handles as you approach. I don’t need to be reaching for key fobs in 2022...
  7. Off-road package add-on and effect on range

From my understanding, the additional protection is only in front of and behind the battery pack. The battery pack is protected on all models. From what I saw at the Hub in Venice, the underbody is all a thin (3-5mm?) carbon fiber. It doesn’t seem like it would add much weight. I also am not...
  8. What's your 0 to 60?

About 6.5 seconds in my Bolt. EVs are fun even if they’re budget friendly.
  9. Hydraulic Lines Exposed to Damage?

I watched that video at .25 speed to see if I could find those hoses. I couldn’t see them, but also couldn’t confirm they had been rerouted. The photo I took was with the suspension in the medium or high setting.
  10. Hydraulic Lines Exposed to Damage?

I sure hope they did. I watched The Long Way Up, but it was a while ago and I don’t remember the specific issues they had with the prototypes.
  11. Hydraulic Lines Exposed to Damage?

I certainly wouldn’t use carbon fiber for stopping bullets. Kevlar perhaps. Carbon fiber is a bit brittle for that. It also felt a bit thin. I’d love to see the new hydraulic routing.
  12. Hydraulic Lines Exposed to Damage?

I’m inclined to agree, but haven’t seen any without the package yet to compare. Hoping to see that before finalizing purchase.
  13. Hydraulic Lines Exposed to Damage?

They were exposed at both high and low suspension settings.
  14. Are we happy now?

    Google Maps > Waze
  15. Hydraulic Lines Exposed to Damage?

Was thinking the same thing, but hard to imagine where to attach said brackets.
  16. Hydraulic Lines Exposed to Damage?

I don’t mind damage, I was just expecting it to be thicker and stronger.
  17. Hydraulic Lines Exposed to Damage?

They are not flexible. They have a metal housing angled towards the front. Very crushable. I’m not worried about aesthetics on the plate, more about durability. Metal dents, carbon fiber cracks. It just seemed a lot thinner than I expected. Like, it moved when I pushed on it with my hand.
  18. Hydraulic Lines Exposed to Damage?

I went to Venice to check out the R1T and crawled under to look at the suspension and underbody. A couple of concerns popped up. One was that the plate under much of the body was a thin carbon fiber plate (likely backed by metal). I’d be concerned about damaging the (likely expensive) plate on...
