I had an early instance I'd posted on where water had been found in the storage tray under dash and some drops seen from around rear view mirror. Rivian took it seriously even though I never saw it after that and noted that on my ticket. They took what sounded like a close look when it went in...
I’m only seeing “Close Windows”. Even after clicking on it and seeing it showing they’re closing, doesn’t change status. This is disconcerting, especially with it raining. When I go out to the truck, all windows appear closed.
I’ve had issues with things involving “Wake vehicle” in general...
I was talking to a guy this weekend who told me he was waiting on his R1T while admiring mine. He said he'd switched from Max Pack to large, hopefully, to get one sooner. I mentioned I thought the Max Pack would be cancelled and he quickly agreed.
Since Max Pack future is all speculation...
Yes. Flush mount with t-slot. Just keep Allen key with truck in case you need to remove racks in a pinch or adjust. I use Allen key length as reference for how far into t-slot to put front/back and either side’s rack.
updated image with dual 1Up setup and new Yeti SB130?
I’m still a big fan...
My logs indicate my update came in 8/20. Not overly alarming volume but while not downloading an update for the charger seems pretty chatty for what I think it should be exchanging with Rivian and app infrastructure. Over 30 days...
Probably scans of my whole network. I mean, it does...
In seeing post about new truck firmware I did a quick check of Rivian home charger firmware. I do this every couple of weeks and there hasn’t been a new version in a while. Just noticed that it had updated. I don’t notice any difference. I’d see if it’s WiFi connectivity limitations are fixed...
Lots of good desired and expected behaviors here, so far.
Pardon me if I missed it but I haven't seen a recommendation to have at least an option for lock action to close all the windows or a windows down warning in app on lock. I think I'd like this for a lot of reasons including not...
I picked up my truck from ATL SC last week. Wife was going to ATL anyway and preferred driving it back, at least in this case, vs. loading on random carrier's trailer for trip back to WNC and navigation into my neighborhood.
I realized only after pulling away that pretty much everything needed...
I can't speak for FL or MD processes or military considerations and what Rivian thinks they need to send you for your situation but...
- ~80 days into 90 day temp tag validity, Guide reached out to indicate challenges Rivian was having with NC remote T&R processing (notary requirements change...
You’ll need to have your wife notarize the title application with you. We did ours at UPS Store. Her sig on COO doesn’t need notary but she will, of course, need to sign it prior to you going to DMV. Then have a copy of her DL with you to take to DMV and she won’t have to come to DMV with you.
I like it! "NO FAT CHECKS" as in 'I wouldn't sell my R1T for anything!!!'.
That couldn't mean anything else because the EV community loves all body types.
This is good news. My DMV agent said I could do custom for weighted but I thought she only meant the letters/numbers, not the theme. It begs the question of why there is a plate that says "weighted" to begin with if they keep it all straight in the systems.
For now, I'm luxuriating in having...
I'd be surprised if Sylva would be any quicker than Brevard. I don't see Sylva as an Instant Title location and, as I've mentioned, mine took <10 minutes in Brevard including the wait for the one person in front of me on last day of month with supposed rush of renewal procrastinators. That...
I just posted a pretty detailed process for NC in another thread. Only difference is OP in other thread didn't have an NC drivers license yet, which looks like a prerequisite in the DMV site info.
I wasn't able to transfer my old tag as they didn't designate my '17 Taco as "weighted" but did...
I'm not sure how to cover the drivers license angle but the rest should be pretty easy. You may need to just go to the license office and wait. I suggest finding a friendly rural one nearby vs. one in an urban center. Same for plate office.
NC Title requirements state
The individual who is...
Speaking of rookies, I’m not 100% sure how reverse operates meaning do the electric motors run in reverse or is there a gear change? I think the former and if so, begs the question of what WILL it do in reverse? ICE are limited by gear ratio of the one reverse gear.
Just saw on LinkedIn where some security "gurus" are having a field day over this being an egregious vulnerability.
If there are things in this part of the interface that are truly dangerous for owners or the Rivian ecosystem, I'd agree that the 4-digit security ain't cutting it. From...
SUCCESS!
While this thread could probably be merged with another on the topic, I wanted to close out what I started.
After UPS Overnight turned into 2 Day, I got docs yesterday- Certificate of Origin (COO) and copy of its back, copy of Purchase Agreement and an IL tax waiver doc. I needed my...
I suggested to my guide that a Gear Shop credit would be more meaningful in the amount of rental car cost for each day past temp expiration that we haven’t received our docs. As much as I need to get around, I need what I bought to be legal.
Gear Shop merch and upgrades would be more of an...
