I had a mobile service on Wed this week sent out of the Trenton SC (20 min from me). This was to address issues with the R1T seen at delivery, and to provide a Spare Tire I had purchased in the Gear Store. Issues supposed to be handled:
Spare Tire Compartment does not open (driver's side latch...
Great trip report and observations. It shouldn't be this hard, indeed. I don't think it will be forever, would like to see more RAN charging nationwide.
Congrats! A fun adventure awaits. A2Z makes two adapters you will need. The Typhoon for SC, and the Stellan for your home Telsa charger (and destination chargers) NACS To J1772.
I see you mentioned thunk noise in the service request. As a few others posted here, I‘ve got clunking from the driver‘s front and rear suspension. Doesn’t seem like this would help, but did the ”thunk” go away?
I encourage you to test drive as much as you can and pick the Rivian that makes sense for you. Everyone I run across has a positive reaction to the Rivian, doubly so when they learn it is made in the USA. So you won’t have any drama there. As an EV, it’s my first to own but have driven quite...

I think they gave this a lot of thought and it does appear to be range optimized which is nice. But I'm unsure of this attachment hardware. It's probably strong enough using a cut down u-bolt but I would like to see a more robust approach.
Rivian reached out to clarify that you will be able to use native media apps on the Rivian without Connect+ but it will require using Wi-Fi tethering from a phone or mobile hotspot.
For specialty work truck use cases, maybe. For me, I would pay for a super low profile, easy to use from both sides manual slider that can come 75% out of the tunnel.
Sorry this got a bit delayed but here are the pics of the 2024 RUS
I'll note that the silver front underbody "shield" that is attached to the bumper cover isn't metal like a Porsche Cayenne with shield option - it is plastic (maybe composite but outer surface seems to be plastic).
