I've installed the same setup as the OP. Pretty nice solar panel and integrated battery charger. I park outside connected to L2 Charger at home, so I just put the panel on the dash. It's been charging away for the past few days. During that time I haven't had any "top off" charging occur...

I've seen an increase in the BT range used to unlock the car. Previously I could have my phone two stories away from the R1 in the driveway and it would remain locked. Now it unlocks from this distance. I have changed the BT Unlock to exclude home to resolve.

I've found that as long you give it a long press and wait for the animation to start on the driver screen for the button - the door always opens. Anything else, like a short press - doesn't work.

I installed a CarPlay pass thru device on my Cayenne "PCM" screen in 2020 - long press on Navigation button switches the mode. Works really well, including audio streaming and touchscreen. Watching with interest!

Thanks for the informative trip report. I'd say you are brave to make this trip with a jumped 12v battery! I'm working on repurposing a 30A Generator feed cable to use with 3 prong Dryer outlets - would appreciate seeing how you handled this.
