I'm sure al of us have had different experiences with Guides over the years. I've had 3 and they have been mostly helpful but not always.
It was innovative for Rivian to go with the Guide approach and it offered that personal touch that is often missing when dealing with a typical...
I don't disagree with you, but his email is fairly public and its really up to him if he decides to respond.
I more said it as a way for the OP to vent.
I have written RJ in the past about the decision to not honor pricing for us early reservation holders when they decided to raise prices. I...
This exactly. @Zeusy Zeus Listen, in your shoes, I'd be irked that you are being told that you can't speak to a manager. Let's all acknowledge that isn't standard protocol.
On the other side of this, you are aggrieved well beyond the charger issue and you are using that issue to try and get...
You know, maybe this is just good ole Elon scheming his way to a "supply constraint" to ease the pain of having all these non-Teslas show up to SC stations in a feeding frenzy and pissing off his "base."
Especially since, you know, Tesla drivers are already starting to call the cops on Rivian...
This is really frustrating on a new and very expensive vehicle. It sounds like it is a 12v battery issue but maybe there was something unexpectedly causing a vampire drain of the 12v. Hopefully Rivian makes this right.
@OP. Do what makes you happy. Life is too short.
However, as a reminder, a vehicle is a depreciating asset. You could keep your pristine R1 vehicle that has served you well and invest the funds you'd use towards the '24 and then use the proceeds on an R3x.
Just say'n. ?
Listen, I think the OP was a bit dramatic, but if we are being objective, communication hasn't been Rivian's forte.
If Rivian let the OP place a custom order, then they should have fulfilled it - or cut off custom ordering and not let him do it at all.
At the end of the day, Rivian really...
To those of you who own an Ocean, I feel for you. I expressed my pessimism about Fisker succeeding, even with Magna as a partner, given how their previous iteration in the automotive industry went, but that doesn't mean I wasn't rooting for them. I was. I just wasn't willing to put skin in the...
@COdogman you are so right. Except if MKB did this video it would have been less than half the time and infinitely more watchable.
Each YouTuber has a choice to make about how to present and then edit their content. Editing is the key phrase here. As in, cutting out extraneous content...
@OP what a bummer! The PTC has been an unmitigated disaster for Rivian and I'm sorry you've been swept up into it as well...
Hopefully 3rd time's the charm and your experience proves to be a fluke.
Here's the thing. Cost cutting doesn't make sense when you pass the cost to the consumer. Generally, if it is something the consumer wants, they are willing to pay for it. What power up, manual down does is potentially reduce complexity.
I am willing to pay for something that isn't a...
Thanks for the great video and pictures!
R2 looks very sharp. Now we all need to complain to Rivian and make sure they have an option for a power frunk in both directions! This power up but manual down business is incredibly short cited.
