If it is only the frunk insert/liner, this will be a product that aftermarket companies will probably jump on. $200 or $250 for the insert, versus $495 from Ford. And, of course, this will likely be an incentive that Ford will throw in when trying to move cars at the end of a quarter.
Fleet buyers do - and probably get a discount from that. As someone who has owned several Econolines that had been fleet vehicles - they had no options (unless A/C was an option). AM only radios. No cruise control. No power windows or power locks.
I would be surprised if it isn't at least 50%. Mine began indicating failure at about 38,000 miles (a little over 2 years of ownership).
With Gen 2, the charge circuitry may be better, so it I am specifically thinking of Gen 1.
Because Rivian owners are captive audience (or viewed as such by management)... and because they can charge anything they want to.
My local Rivian SC quoted me $900 to replace them, but acknowledged that many owner choose to replace their own (even though the design has made that difficult to...
I wouldn't have volunteered that information. It is no business of theirs whether your 12AWG wiring is in a wall, in a conduit, or in your extension cord. As long as the contacts (the outlet or the end of the extension cord) are good and not dropping too much voltage or overheating.
Yeah. I didn't counter your "most vehicles can't tow," but I've seen all kinds of vehicles towing, from motorcycles to small sedans to a Maserati. Hook up a four-pin connector to the tail lights, and install or clamp-on a hitch. It's true that most vehicles don't come from the factory with...
Not really related to this topic, but I sometimes have to do that to get a charge (when I could buy gasoline anywhere). For instance, in Tucson, all or most of the DCFCs are on the west side of town. I have at times, when in Tucson, found that I have to drive across town to find a reliable DCFC...
Umm, you know that this is a Rivian forum, right? All (or most) of the released Rivian four wheel vehicles are capable of towing. I am not sure about the vans, or about the R2 (e-bikes don't count), but certainly all of the R1 vehicles can tow.
I have found that towing a relatively small...
There's eBay - you could recoup some money, and put it out there where another owner might get some good out of it. The asking price, from most sellers, is usually too high. But the ones that I've seen that are sold in an auction still go for a bit more than I want to pay.
My 12V battery started giving me warning notices after about 27 months and ~36 or 37,000 miles. The thing that is most likely to extend life of these little AGA batteries would be using a trickle charger, at least part of the time - especially one with a desulphation cycle.
In this video, a gentleman found that closing the vents/slots in the rear spoiler gained back much of the efficiency loss from mounting a (Thule/Yakima type) box on crossbars over the bed. I would imagine that it will be similar for a bed cap.
