  1. R1S vs Model Y in mud

Welcome. I think its been covered but airing down, even on street tires would probably work. I aired my 21” road tires down to about 24psi on the sand dunes at Pismo beach and had an absolute blast - no issues whatsoever, so I’d think mud would be similar. On the Tesla you probably just got by...
  2. California R1T Tailgate Pad - NEW - Local Pickup Only ($215)

Cool thx - sorry for the hassle - not sure why it didn’t show sold in my search.
  3. Max Pack Battery Capacity Confirmed - 149kWh

Here in Cali most Freeways are posted at 65, and yeah you’d need to be cruising at that speed. Which can be annoying as flow of traffic is 75+. Still it can be done when you promised to be home by X o’clock, and a charging stop would scupper it :).
  4. Max Pack Battery Capacity Confirmed - 149kWh

Don’t forget dual motors models are running with single motor the majority of the time in “All purpose” mode. Driving like a saint on the highway, with the suspension in lowest and “conserve” on my quad I can hit 2.7 mi/kwh. I suspect this “single motor mode” has a significant efficiency gain...
  5. List of compatible tires (for each Rivian factory wheel diameter)

If you have 21” wheel size configured on your truck, you don’t need to go to a service center to reconfigure to 20” wheels. The 275/55r21 and 275/60r20 are virtually identical sizes, where the stock 275/65r20 is a bigger diameter. While some folks run the bigger size without reprogramming the...
  6. California R1T Tailgate Pad - NEW - Local Pickup Only ($215)

Did this get sold? I am interested but am in Norcal. I could provide a prepaid shipping label also. I could even mail the label if you don’t have a printer :).
  7. Ordered new 20” wheel with +48mm offset from Tirerack

Get the Amazon TPMS and apparently no programming required. I can’t personally verify as I’m waiting for winter to install on the truck, but others have had good luck. Amazon link is in this thread somewhere.
  8. 2022 Rivian R1T Yearlong Review Verdict: The End of Something Remarkable [Motortrend]

Same. I’ve had some issues. Rivian has fixed them all. Its not been all plain sailing but I’ve felt privileged to have had the truck for 17 months.
  9. No OTA for tire size changes

Based purely on anecdotal evidence, from my experience with my R1T and overhearing others checking in to the service centers, there are a lot of cars coming in for the same production issues (wind noise from corner windows, alignment, tpms, clicking driveshafts etc). So there is a ton of demand...
  10. Rivian Q3 2023 -- Production: 16,304 vehicles / Deliveries: 15,564 vehicles

Did you email them within (30?) days of purchase to opt-out of the class action exclusion, per the purchase agreement? If not, you may have waived your right to join the class.
  11. No OTA for tire size changes

And by the time you got an appointment it would be time to switch back anyway…
  12. The NACS adapter to use the supercharger network is here

It supports plug and charge on EVgo now also where in older software it didn’t.
  13. The NACS adapter to use the supercharger network is here

Our 2020 Y does. I’d be surprised if your 2021 doesn’t have the support too.
  14. List of compatible tires (for each Rivian factory wheel diameter)

Just run 275/60r20 on the 20 inch rims and you won’t need any adjustment for tire size - its almost identical to 275/55r21.
  15. Hail storm destroys my Rivian R1T

I wouldn’t even bondo it. Just drive it as. Depends on salvage price - can be high on EVs.
  16. Ordered new 20” wheel with +48mm offset from Tirerack

Well here is a mounted Nokian, but I doubt anyone cares about that :p. Will see what I can do about taking one next to the truck in the next few days.
  17. Ordered new 20” wheel with +48mm offset from Tirerack

Nokian’s recommendations are here https://www.nokiantires.com/rivian/?cid=ads_s&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-c_do8rEgQMVUPSUCR2GVgzIEAAYASAAEgJpX_D_BwE The LT3 are a very high load rating and may have very stiff sidewalls. Unless you are hauling or towing a lot, might be overkill and not the most...
  18. Ordered new 20” wheel with +48mm offset from Tirerack

Got the tires mounted and balanced today. Not installing on the truck for real for a few months yet. I was gonna shove a wheel on to check for clearances but others have checked that box already. I can roll a wheel out some time and set it in place by the truck and get a few photos :).
  19. Ordered new 20” wheel with +48mm offset from Tirerack

I got some 27/60r20 Nokian Nordman 7 studded tires for pretty cheap on eBay from SimpleTire. Less than $900 delivered. The stock 21” All seasons were pretty decent in snow last year, but I tend to travel the Sierra passes pretty late at night and hitting a patch of ice on anything non-studded...
