I was watching Rivian's demo of voice to text and I'm VERY happy to see this coming. IF IT WORKS as advertised, this is going to be vastly better than Carplay or Siri's sorry ass. But I'll still call out the lack of CarPlay support. Mostly for laughs 🤪

If I got an R2 (which honestly, I'm not) I would definitely go white and do the R2D2 thing.. I'd also be fighting to get a customer plate saying "D2". or maybe someone can 3d print a D2 badge..

I get you, just haven't had that issue. That said, I do think I'll care A LOT more about autonomy as I get older. I've said before that autonomous vehicles will allow the elderly to maintain their independence much longer. Not everyone can drive a car at 98yo like my Grandma could. 😉

Absolutely. I predict a lot of us will be using that one. This is certainly shaping up to be a very very nice update. But where is CarPlay 🤪

It’s amazing how such a small thing brings a smile to most people. It’s also pretty easy to do. I’m kinda surprised Rivian doesn’t do it more often.

Do you have kids? If so, take a LONG hard look at the interior emergency rear door handles and what a kid would have to do to exit the vehicle in an emergency. If it’s not an issue, then carry on.

In many ways the Gen 1’s are better vehicles. I’ve owned two R1Ts and had next to no problems with either of them. I agree with everything here but WHERE IN HADES is the V2H update that Rivian has promised since DAY ONE! It’s like @Wassym is trying to be as reliable as Elon with his software promises. Oh and Carplay…. because I want more laugh emoji responses… 🤪

It doesn’t work worth squat on my gen2. I’ve done all the restarts of the app and R1S. No dice. also Apple Music is broke again. 🙄
