Another giveaway that Rivian is targeting the soft roader mommy mobile (Model Y) crowd is that only the Performance is available with AT tires. All of the lower trims are AS-only. In other words, the eventual volume sellers aren’t going to be factory equipped for serious rock crawling.
They are desperate. I used the site’s trade-in calculator on my Model 3 last week. Within 5 minutes I got a text, and within 15 mins some called me trying to get me into an R1.

Has anyone that’s gone to a block party heard the heat pump running in the R2? I’d imagine in the hot climates that they’d have climate on with people climbing all over these vehicles

Honestly, I’d just pick up a used Tesla mobile connector kit on Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist. That’s what I did when we got our second Tesla and they no longer included it for free. I think I paid $150 or so, but that was a couple of years ago.
