Don’t talk about this too loud since some safely regulation may show up and force all cameras to be off while driving. They say it’s like driving and watching a video. Other cars disallow that.
I’ve been considering that one since I dislike blocking my rear view and third brake light when I mount my rooftop tent.
What is the total height of rail in kneel mode? How easy do you think it is to remove the rack when needed?
I dislike, including Rivian, when vehicles have the reverse lights as the coming/leaving home light. It’s so confusing in parking lots!! But I understand it makes sense in real dark areas.
I don’t know what I’m talking about….but I’ll say with confidence that Rivian did not build the hardware function in the vehicle to support AC/AA. The usb ports they have in there don’t connect to the UI hence it cannot transfer any info to the vehicle. My Audi would tell me my phone batt is low...
So are you saying that most of us will think the dual motor is bigger, and better, and cheaper, and cancel our quad motors with pre-price hike pricing to pay more for dual motors and think we got a deal?? Cost that’s exactly what I’m thinking to do!!
I bet the software people were working on limiting our owner privileges and converting them to subscription based items and then this is what happened. Lol
I’m curious too about this outcome for a RTT. So I know, based on many math calculations, that the thickest tent you can have is maybe 9” with kneel mode or conserve lowest with 20” wheels. So pretty much only wedge/clamshell tents. The Yakima types they advertise won’t clear 7’ garages.
As someone who has taken multiple road trips with the 20”s I would have gladly taken an extra 10-20 miles more of range just to make it to my destination or even to a “furtherer” DCFC. However wouldn’t covering all the openings, like the 21”s, give it the best chance of range improvement? I...
You have a key fob for your van?? I have a have a 2018 Chevy Colorado for work where you have to stick the key in the door to unlock, and I Ford F250 that the only power thing it has is a power steering. So all day long I wish I had my finicky passive entry Rivian than my work trucks. But yes...
So based on my interaction with RR Evoque and Velar, they are easier to operate, more ergonomic, and has a more natural hand motion to open. Sure RR and Rivian both have the handles deploy and retract flush but RR has a better and more fluid operation to use daily.
I notice that people coming from Teslas will love the Rivian handles and door access. People coming from regular cars will really be let down. Range Rovers have the best integration of flush handles. They are flush when closed and work like regular handles when unlocked.
Yup! That’s everything you will sign up for with Rivian. It’s like Apple going too forward to eventually go back and sell you what you once had for free. Wait until you try to position the air vents! It’s the greatest and frustrating-est vehicle I’ve even owned. Honorable mentions of large...
I’ve had it for a year and the proximity key thing has been my biggest daily gripe. (First world problems I know). I’m glad they’ll move the feature to the fob now…and please don’t wait till I’m lingering at the door this time.
I think one can buy a couple of 2” high bricks at Home Depot and place them on the driveway and just barely roll over them then park when it’s bad snow. And move them when the weather is better. Cheap and temporary.
All my cars have been above 150mph so 115mph is dismal. All the car chases I see on the news are stupid people in pathetic cars. Smart owners aren’t going to engage in a high speed cop chase with their fancy cars. I just want it to be faster than an economy car. ?
