I hope folks can read this article on a federally funded plan in the Salt Lake Tribune. The emphasis is on chargers on “scenic roads” in Utah but there is a mention of other western states doing something similar. Sounds super useful given the lack of chargers in the out of the way but popular...
awesome. thank you. I know it is apples to oranges, but what would you experience with your petrol vehicles in terms of mpg or range on a similar trip. I am curious how much regen benefits on these types of drives.
I am happy to hear the Rivian‘s air suspension ”soft” mode is actually soft. we upgraded from a 2019 tesla “raven” model S to a 2021 Refresh and for some reason, the nice comfortable ride of the 2019 is gone in the 2021. Even in comfort mode is rides really rough.
Thank you for the closeups. Nice to see on trucks vs just the small swatches @ the Venice site.
We love the metalic sparkles so silver and forest green are our favorites at this point.
I wonder if it is possible to have a software update to have two brightness levels on the rear light bar. One for normal running, and brighter when brakes pressed. This is especially important when something is in the back that obscures the light on the cab (Tent, bikes, etc.)
Thanks for showing this. This is one of the models I was interested in. Looks like it is tucked nicely out of the wind. How is setup and take down? We camp in Utah - how do you think the cover would deal with a LOT of dust?
I know Tesla differs from most car companies in that they are constantly modifying/improving their vehicles independent of model year designation. Some are smaller running changes and others are packaged together as a new release (see 2021 Model S refresh). Aside from ongoing software updates...
I did the same thing for one of the camping trips we love from home here in St. George UT to Needles district in Canyonlands and back.
Even without the drag of the RTT the difference is notable - 14 hrs 15 min for the max pack (4 charging stops) and 15 hrs 30 min for large (7 charging stops)...
how is the ride comfort vs the Plaid. We have a ‘21 Model S long range refresh and my biggest complaint is it isn’t a smooth ride compared to our earlier MS.
