Im sure this has been mentioned but I feel like my delivery was expedited by choosing the (not included) black wheels with my LE. Went pretty standard on everything else though. LOVE the truck. I imagine if you order a decked out and loaded Explorer edition you will probably get placed near the...
If it does turn out to be the 12V I can say that this happened to my Model 3 after about 3 weeks. I think Telsa uses a 12V lithium Ion battery now, but I just wish they would use a DC-DC converter and get rid of the thing entirely, which I think is the plan IIRC. They had to tow my Model 3 to...
I am attempting to go through DCU.org and its turning into a bit of a nightmare... I had to finance through Rivian for now as these DCU people cant seem to get their shit together. Anytime you call them expect to wait over an hour. Luckily they have a callback option but yeah, over an hour...
My 2019 Model 3 gave me the impression that it was slapped together as quickly as possible, although it was VERY fun to drive I imagine the R1T will be just as much, if not more fun. And quality has to be better than what I experienced with the Tesla.
I think it looks great. Will be interesting to see how he thinks it compares to the R1T. I think both are priced right for what they offer, but a direct comparison from somebody who has experience reviewing both will be interesting.
I have a few rental properties and find myself moving a lot of stuff despite the limited space in my Fusion, so I am in dire need of at least a small truck. Gonna section 179 my R1T too. Between that and the Federal / State tax Credit / Rebate this will provide a nice lil tax shelter.
As far as...
At this point, ANY experience that involves a delivered R1T truck, is a good experience IMO. I can wait on the other stuff as long as I can drive the damn thing. It could get delivered with one key, steelies and just a driver seat for all I care, I just want the damn truck.
I have a reservation in for a LE R1T but I think the killer product is gonna be consumer versions of the Amazon van converted to RVs. As others have mentioned, the R1T and R1S are very different vehicles than what Mercedes and the like are selling. This company has massive potential IMO.
Most people think its excessive but this is why we have a third car. A 2015 Ford Fusion Energi. Tesla had my M3 for a week due to minor repairs and offered Uber credits. Nothing against Uber, I love Uber's service and even drive for them on occasion... but I have my trusty Ford "beater" for such...
On the Audi, only the front has PPF. White paint. no noticeable difference at all. Even with the Stealth (ie: matte) PPF on the Tesla (Midnight Grey), you could still see the metal flake in the paint.
150 miles? Too late, damage already done... Kidding. A lot of people, first thing they do when they get a car is send it to get PPF. Thats a bit anal IMO. I drove my Tesla 3 for a few months before I could even get it in for PPF. We have ONE shop in Denver at the time (Denver Autoshield) I...
Just realized I could change from R1S to R1T, thats actually what I really wanted but at the time I made my reservation the R1T was not available. In any case, delivery window was stated as July-September for my R1S LE, I wonder if this bumps me to a sooner date? I could really use a truck for a...
Quite literally. But lots of people like ugly things, and I bet the aftermarket for these things will be massive. Super easy to wrap I bet too. Watch out for Hello Kitty wrap... should be pretty sweet. :D
