Not at all, but if you go on a 4runner forum and start posting about mpg vs a Honda Pilot because most owners don't actually go off road they're going to tell you to go away. Try it.
Nothing wrong with cross shopping whatever vehicles you're interested in. Just commenting it seems unreasonable to want or expect the R1T/S, a truck designed to go off road and an SUV spinoff based on the same, to compete favorably against smaller, lighter, more aerodynamic vehicles that don't...
People can compare it to whatever they want, but complaining about efficiency relative to smaller more aerodynamic vehicles is silly.
Also lol at the person claiming regenerative braking doesn't improve city range. Thanks for contributing.
This is what vehicles with airbags look like at max height. They bobble around like they're on stilts, have no articulation, and rely on traction control to keep things moving.
Still plenty capable and, for what they're going for, worth it for a better ride the other 99% of the time.
I'm trusting Rivian has a plan to recycle and swap packs at end of life (given their second life program) but I'm also not counting on it holding resale value if that assumption proves untrue.
If I get over 10 years and 150k miles above 80% performance before retiring it to a recycling center...
You'll be fine. The clowns that struggle pulling boats out are usually in 2 wheel drive with wet back tires on a shitty lift kit.
R1S will be fantastic at pulling heavy things up slippery ramps.
I'm in San Diego and I've worked out a pretty eco friendly regimen over the years:
-touchless carwash (with water recapture) once a month or so
-meguiar's waterless wash afterwards to get the dirt film and water spots off
-tree branches until I don't care about the paint anymore
Works best...
You're estimating the coefficients of an existing quadratic equation based on visual analysis of its graph using an imprecise plot of 6 points. You know it's first coefficient should be at or near zero - of course setting a = 0 helped!
That doesn't make it a necessary assumption to fit the...
The vehicle is stationary for less than 0.1% of the highway test cycle, so precise modeling of stationary conditions is pretty trivial. It's entirely possible a small non-zero first coefficient more accurately describes the rest of the data.
Using 0 as a "known' data point just because it's...
The first coefficient doesn't have to be zero unless the test requires the fit curve to accurately model load at zero mph.
What equation are you using to isolate drag from the above curves?
I've always assumed the Taycan's EPA/actual delta was due to it's two speed gearbox and decoupling rear axle providing significant improvements in real world high speed highway cruising while being less suited to the variable lower speed EPA highway cycle.
Plus VW group more than any other...
I've had a soft shell for about three years and really like it - James Baroud Horizon, so a little different than Yakima, but similar pros and cons. Next go round I'll probably get a hard shell for the easier setup/breakdown and room for pillows and blankets in the tent.
TBH though I moved the...
The first vehicles on the road will be the launch edition. Launch edition has an exclusive color option.
I see how that could be misconstrued as launch editions will prioritize launch green for rollout, but that's not what it says.
I hate BTC because of how wasteful it is, but it's not like our current financial infrastructure runs on roses and sunshine.
Either way, proof of stake cryptos will likely overtake proof of work cryptos for this reason.
Advantages of certain cryptos include smart contracts, non-fungible tokens, decentralized finance, confidentiality, limited supply, etc.
Doge is a hot joke with GME "fuck the system, let's see what we can do" overtones that ballooned into a multi billion dollar bubble for gamblers to play with.
There are definitely plenty of terrible unions out there, just like there are tons of awesome companies with non-union employees that do a fantastic job taking care of them while still providing quality goods and services.
On the whole, however, unions are pretty critical in maintaining a...
