  1. Probably overreacting but... Losing capacity fast?

I picked up my 2023 R1T two years ago, it had 21k miles and charged to 203 miles at 70%. I'm now at 52k miles and now it posts 205 miles at 70% in the morning. I've had it on many long road trips. I don't worry about the battery at all at this point, I'm pretty confident the degradation is...
  2. Cincinnati L3 Charging Desert - WTF?

It's really really poor along that stretch as compared to the other segments of 70 further east as well as all of the highways on the east coast. If your comparing it to another area with comparitivly weak charging infrastructure, then maybe you don't see it as poor, but from my perspective it is.
  3. Cincinnati L3 Charging Desert - WTF?

We live in MD and travel to Mason frequently, I'm from there. There is awful charging infrastructure along 70 and really really poor options along 71 running to Cincinnati. It's a big dead zone. Luckily I can charge at my family's home there.
  4. Ski rack mileage impact on Range

I would attribute a good portion of that range loss to the temps. The range drop for the crossbars and ski rack, whatever that is, would likely be less over the rear on the R1T than over the roof. You can be certain it will be much quieter over the rear as well.
  5. Rivian now charging $.68 per kwh

Sadly there are now places it's cheaper to use the Tesla supercharger nearby, even without a subscription, rather than the RAN for our own vehicles.
  6. New Bill in Senate to Kill EV Tax Credit + $1000 tax on every new EV

More likey they just picked a nice round number, I doubt they care if it's a fair amount. That would take a clearer understanding of the issue, and that's takes time and effort.
  7. Honest Feedback on buying 2023 R1T- knowing what you know

I purchased a 23 R1T in October, production 19xxx, have had zero issues. It has been the best vehicle I have ever owned.
  8. New to EVs and unsure which brand of home L2 charger to go with

This, works great, cheaper than the Rivian and can charge either port style so you are future proofed.
  9. Beware, Beware the 12V Battery Warranty (Also positive Eastvale CA service center visit)

Does anyone know at what point in production they swapped to a single battery? I have a 2023 with production #197xx.
  10. Electrical people. Opinions on this L2 Install?

He's telling you wrong, like so many others I've seen. As was already mentioned you should only run the romex to 44 amps. If you're not sweating the extra amps just charge at 40 amps and be happy. I used 6/2 MC cable, not near as flexible as romex, but it was easy enough, once I hit my garage I...
  11. Seat cleaner recommendations?

I'll use diluted Carpro pearl every few months for protection. For weekly cleaning, Griots interior detailer.
  12. 2023 Gen 1 Quad vs 2025 Gen 2 Dual Standard

Purchased my Gen 1 quad used back in October, a little less than 20k miles. El cap with Ocean mist and 20's. It is absolutely beautiful. Even with the hassle and slightly added expense of having to purchase out of state and have it shipped, it is still an amazing value for 800+hp vehicle with a...
  13. Report: NACS adapters will stop being free for new Rivian purchases starting later this month - per RivianTrackr

They are trying desperately to get to positive gross profit on each vehicle. I would imagine it's tight and they are scraping everywhere to reach that. This was my thought initially.
  14. Rivian reputation, what do non-Rivian drivers think about Rivians?

I've had nothing but positive interactions with other Rivian owners, we seem to be a friendly lot in general. Probably many of us where pulled to Rivian for the same reasons so not too surprising. As far as others go, nothing negative, especially once they find out it's an American company with...
  15. Anyone know how to fix this ?- Passenger seat base trim separation? (please don't just say put in a ticket)

I just noticed this the other day on mine and was so disappointed. Thanks for the information!
  16. Cross Bars are Noisy Solution

Is the noise when they are located on the roof only? I just ordered a set for the R1T, though I planned on putting them over the bed.
  17. Buying R1T Tomorrow - Torn Between Two - Any input?

I was in a similar situation to the OP. The 23 in my case had higher mileage but was much cleaner with an interior I preferred. The bonus was I qualified for the new vehicle loan rate from NFCU with the 2023. This was just in October.
  18. Bought a used R1T Quad

Most probably just want to move to from gen 1 to gen 2. With the new tri similar to the gen 1 quad in power, cheaper than the eye watering price of the gen 2 quad, and available now, I'm sure it's a popular upgrade path.
  19. Bought a used R1T Quad
