So you can just use the card and stick it in your wallet or use the bracelet. Both would open the truck and keep it in that state until you lock it with the card or bracelet.
What I have figured out having done PPF on 2 vehicles now, is you should definitely get PPF (especially on the R1T due to the flat nature of the front) on the front bumper area and possibly hood of the R1T, BUT also get ceramic or graphene coating to go on top of the PPF. This would be double...
Keep in mind, how many 350kw chargers were available just for testing as well in the US. It took time for EA or any other provider to roll out 350kw chargers. Sure Rivian could have made their own chargers to test on, but they aren't going to be real world in real locations where temperature...
Yeah and starting up a new EV car company is easy. Anyone should be able to do it. Especially hiring quality software engineers during a world-changing pandemic. Easy. What were they thinking!?!
You may not be aware but almost all software companies, especially ones as large as Rivian, cannot pump out software updates within a 2 week period as this guy has suggested. He said he mentioned the recommendations 2 weeks prior. Given the safety requirements of a car, a massive testing...
So it looks like from the "fake" bottom to the top of the lip of the frunk is about 10" and the cooler is 12.4 or 12.6" (according to Amazon), so it looks like there is a bit of room in the hood to allow the extra 2" or so?
Can't say enough to protect an $80-90K vehicle:
Get PPF to protect the front bumper at the very least (more if you can)
Get graphene or ceramic coating (2 layers) -- Don't cheap out here
If you get this, washing is so much easier. I couldn't believe how much easier it is until I got this...
That's the first thing that popped in my head. A lot of negative "what-ifs" and nitpicking
"What if I was holding a powered on sandblaster while closing the tailgate? I might just scratch the paint"
Up to you but I didn't see a need to ppf the entire truck. I would only do the front and the frunk lid. Then graphene coat it as a very hard armor over it. I think it should prevent discoloration over time too
Use Glassparency products. I did some research on it as well and it sounds like Glassparency used real graphene while other products only have specs. I have it on my truck and it's amazing
