Yes, heat can be an issue. From what I've googled Apple Magsafe chargers are only rated to work up to 95 F. A car in direct sunlight can get much hotter than this, especially in hot climates.
I've had this happen myself in the summer - the chargers started working after they cooled but it took...
StowNCharge should be able to charge with a MagSafe compatible case with no problems so something is not right. It could be a faulty component or some issue with the install. Please send me a DM or an email to [email protected] and I'd be happy to try and figure it out with you.
A case the has MagSafe support actually has its own magnets separate in the case. So, if you are just using an ultra-thin case I'm guessing it doesn't. Since it's thin it will still work but but won't attach very strongly.
Probably much less than that. We were tracking closer to a month out.
However, Feb has been a tough month production wise. Equipment failures, small console changes by Rivian, and now some supply issues have added up to about half of Jan production and the people at the top of the list have...
Hi, is your case MagSafe compatible? If working correctly it should be pretty easy to find the spot where it snaps to the charger. If you are unsure you can try testing without your phone case.
Biggest and most visible changes are:
1. The magsafe bracket change you mentioned.
2. There is now a tab that helps keep the unit down in place
3. The interior is only soft on the bottom.
Hi, I'm toying with the idea of a lidless StowNCharge (would use a diff name). Is this appealing to anyone? I think I like how it looks overall.
Tray is a little more finished in this version as it's always visible. Not sure felt is the best option for the bottom... maybe grippy style rubber...
I had no problem using Turbox Tax to get mine.
I followed the advice from this thread. https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/turbo-tax-instructions-for-ammended-22-tax-credit.17405/
Maybe you didn't fill in the correct date?
Thanks for the feedback. Glad you are enjoying it!
I agree about the door, it's definitely a challenging component that I had to make trade offs in design on. Main issue is space is such a premium and trying to have a track that doesn't take up too much space was difficult. I went though so...
I've been asked this a few times, but I've always declined. Just want to keep it fair.
Also note, although you are at a high number it might not be as long as you think. I had a big burst of people on the wait list recently (I think from a social media post). This has happened in the past and...
Yes, some people have used double sticky tape or velcro to make it stay down. (And yes, this has been addressed in a small revision that just started shipping).
This is an image from a customer of where they placed the tape that seemed to work well.
Unfortunately the waitlist app can be a bit buggy - I worked quite a bit with the developer trying to get it resolved but no luck yet. What I found is that if you use a private window it will work but it's still not straight forward as it dumps you at the orders page. So try these steps:
