Bueno, sign me up for that R1F right away. But, shouldn't there be an air filled frame and body design to allow re-sizing on the go? Add pressure to increase the vehicle size, release pressure to shrink it down.
As for the two-seat version of the R1T, that would definitely be a winner for me. I...
Good work fastwheels. That definitely looks like a designed function.
I like the concept. Creating a height stop setting in the software would just mean fiddling with a monitor or a cell phone. An automatic stop with a manual extension is a direct, straight forward solution.
Love these videos...
Good on VW for bringing it in at 250 miles.
But, I believe that is for a 2 wheel drive vehicle, not all wheel drive. The AWD will come later. It will be interesting to see what kind of a drop in range they get with that version.
Will they go for economy in the AWD? Or, will they sacrifice...
Time for a little Canadian content here.
The small community of Bella Coola sits in what we in British Columbia call the Central Coast. Access is via ferry or highway #20.
Okay, highway is definitely a stretch. This road could pass for the lane behind your house. There's a chunk of it, down a...
I'm now officially in. After asking a whole bunch of questions (see the R1t kayak thread), and pretty much failing to get much in the way of answers, I finally just decided to pay the deposit and see what happens.
For now, I have ordered a blue R1t with a mid-sized battery, Adventure Package...
I assume those were customer support reps I was e-mailing with. Basically, I got pretty much the same answer on all questions - wait and see.
I have now put down the cash on the deposit. So, we'll wait and see what they come up with as the first trucks are delivered later this year. I would...
So, am I joining the party? Or, not. The answer is 'yes' - sort of.
To begin with, both the R1s and the R1t are compromises on what I really want. I want a small or medium sized pickup truck, with an extended cab and a canopy. Or, to put it another way, I want an electric version of my existing...
Okay, I didn't think the stern looked turned up enough for a Nordkapp.
They're a great boat. Or, to put it another way, the truck has to fit the kayak .... or it's no deal on the truck!
Well done. Thank you very much!
I probably went astray by placing the first bar too far forward. At 36 inches apart, the four bars take up 108 inches of the length.
Subtracting that from the 218 inch overall length, leaves 110 inches. If the rear bar is 14 or 15 inches from the back, then the...
I wouldn't want to hit a stiff crosswind with the Smart Car. You could be off to meet the Wizard!
Is that an Etain you've got there?
Mine's a Nordkapp. Not the new "Forti" version, the style immediately before it. The one with the big rocker, once described as an unstable pig.
Great replies. Thank you very much for your input.
My spitball calculations for the positioning of the racks has the front rack 87.5 inches from the front of the vehicle. The second rack is 41.3 inches back from the first. The third rack is 43.3 inches back from the second. The fourth rack is...
Okay, forget the last question about the tires. I see that the off-road version does indeed have the three peak snowflake symbol. The off-road tires are exactly what I was thinking would be best.
Cheers

I haven't put down my money yet for an R1t. But, the decision is likely happening real soon. I think the only logical replacement for my ageing (and rusting) 2002 Toyota Tacoma is the Rivian pickup. It's a bit bigger than what I want. And, I would prefer an extended cab with a longer box. But, I...
