I'm not sure the 229kWh they quote is the full battery or just what they provide access to as well. Regardless, this thing is going to be a beast.

This thing has got to weigh 9,000+ lbs with that large of a battery. The Hummer EV weighs 9,000 lbs with a slightly smaller battery.

It seems like each store will have vehicles listed that are at the SC or factory which is why I’m seeing that yellow one in the Brooklyn store.

I didn’t even get an “it’s taken” message. My page reloaded and brought me back. I thought I was in for sure.

I tried to get one of the LG/FE and it was taken as I clicked “confirm.” Once my guide told me I didn’t actually get it, went back in to get the 21” wheel version and that was taken as I clicked confirm. So that was my day.

Boy I hope I like the LG in person since I just chose one from the R1 shop over my FG preorder configuration

There was probably double the inventory in the Brooklyn shop late last night. Almost all of the colors (I don't know about LAS)...obviously most were taken overnight.

Hah! Don't worry, the wife wasn't interested in the LAS. I need the full blessing of the boss to make this purchase happen so whatever color she wants, she is getting.

I got access last night. 3 R1S's late last night (LA Silver, El Cap, Launch Green), one left this morning. If the Launch Green didn't have the underbody shield (not needed for my intended use), I would probably grab it.

My guide sent me a message yesterday saying since I was an Adventure holder, I was initially denied R1 Shop access. But since they are now allowing Adventure holders to have access, she has requested it again.

Still waiting for shop access...asked my guide last week (again)...crickets since. Might be because I'm in Delaware and the closest SC is Brooklyn. The planned SC on the NJ side of Philly might speed things up.

Unless this is an indication that Amazon is losing confidence in Rivian, I think this is a net positive. This enables Rivian to get their EDV's in more hands and focus on building out the commercial side of things a little.

Congrats on the R1S, I am waiting on the same configuration...but really getting into the weeds with this owner/driver thing.
