Tire manufacturers are known to put a little less tread depth on the OEM version to help with efficiency. But, they sometimes make other changes as well like tread width or noise insulation. In this case, there is only an OEM version of the Pirelli's in the stock size. So, it won't matter. But...
Hah, no, because by the time Scout releases it's first EV, the RIvian SW/HW stack will have gone through a lot more testing. But, after Scout starts delivering products, Rivian's vehicle will be as buggy as Scout's. But, engineers can squash a lot of bugs given a couple years.
I agree that the weight probably doesn't matter much. I was just pointing out it is lighter and that would effect it some. I believe the EPA has very little constant speed driving. I suspect the weight loss would have very little benefit for highway range at 80 mph.
410 miles / 141.5 kwh = 2.9...
I just put my cross bars on for the first time today. I noticed the two stages as well. But, I couldn't get the second stage to engage by just wiggling it. I pushed the metal flap thing in harder, and that seemed to engage the second stage. They don't shake. But, I haven't driven them yet to see...
It's worth noting that Michelin has two different versions of LTX M/S2. And it's the Defender that has sizes for Rivian, not this one:

They've tested the previous version, and it was pretty good, but not top...
I was just speaking very generally. I have seen very few (?none?) reviews of M/S2 by any of the tire review outlets. Can you point me to some that compare it with the AS+3?
Also, this is a thread about the 21" options, which doesn't include the AS+3. But, those also seem like good options in...
I second this. And it seems like something they can do without getting any external support. Google Cast will certainly be nice, but I'm sure there are a lot of tests and agreements that must be completed for that to come out. And even accessing stored music is a cybersecurity concern. So, that...
For the Dual Motor vehicles, can they enable an automatic switch to AWD when turning (greater than a certain approx g. force [degree angle of the wheels per speed] )? It'll help reduce understeer and even out tire wear on acceleration out of the corner.
Right now, I have to switch to reduced...
I had my gen2 R1S in the shop for a couple weeks. So, I had to drive my 2018 Model 3 Performance for a few days until I got a loaner. The suspension on my R1S is definitely more refined than the Model 3. The Model 3 just seems kind of dead. The loaner QM R1S suspension seemed just a little more...
It's very possible that GM used different Tier 1 suppliers for their trucks and the Blazer. I regularly see the trucks around me, but I haven't seen a Blazer EV. I live near the GM proving grounds. (I get to see the unreleased corvettes in camo pretty often :) ).
From what I've seen with the reviews, I would say Pirelli makes regularly makes good tires, but Michelin often makes top notch tires. And if they are similarly priced, you'll generally get more for your money with Michelin vs. Pirelli.
AND newer tire designs generally perform better.
The M/S2...
Seems like these tests were on gen1. If you look for the recent thread showing the differences, you'll see they say gen2 can be float charged from the pigtails, implying gen1 cannot.
