  1. Ceiling mounted Rivian wall charger with drop down cord

Thanks, it really did take a lot of thought and planning. Yeah I thought about raceways but could not find anything that looked much better or was not pricey in my searching. Really wanted to route it up into the attic after the ceiling charger mount and then dropping it back down but that is a...
  2. Ceiling mounted Rivian wall charger with drop down cord

Thanks. The coil at the top from the original pics is still in place so that solves the main strain concern and the last ceiling hanger is actually pulling at about a 60 degree angle due to the cord strap attached to it and offset mount rather than trying to let it drop at a 90 degree, so that...
  3. Ceiling mounted Rivian wall charger with drop down cord

Just an update on this. I did end up needing to relocate it slightly to get it closer to the charge connection and some more length hanging down. It now sits only about 3/4in off the floor when not in use and now very easy to connect. Very happy with this now that had a couple months using it...
  4. Thuren wheels + 35" inch Falken Wildpeak R/T tires on Glacier White R1S

Cause I can truly say they are 35's and no argument as its on the sidewall!!!!!! Haha ... Main reason is you get another 2mm of tread depth so bit better traction if gets sloppy and potentially even longer life. I like the D rated as should give more sidewall flex for more traction off road...
  5. R1S @ Alpine Loop, CO - Cinnamon Pass, California Gulch, Corkscrew Gulch

I average 1.99 KW on city, highway, and the long road trip. The Wildpeak R/T is an aggressive R/T more towards The M/T type. Really good extra sidewall protection. Really like them so far. They do have some slight road noise right at about 50 to 60mph but slower and faster they are silent. I...
  6. R1S @ Alpine Loop, CO - Cinnamon Pass, California Gulch, Corkscrew Gulch

Thuren 20in wheels (had them coat mine in gloss black). Falken Wildpeak R/Ts 35x11.5 D load range. Zero rub I found so far and had it flexed out with a wheel off the ground in a couple of cases. The Thurens allow a bigger tire as has even slightly more positive offset as well as .5in narrower...
  7. R1S @ Alpine Loop, CO - Cinnamon Pass, California Gulch, Corkscrew Gulch

I can't recommend it myself. I think someone or a few might have already done it on 21's easily but there are a few sections with some rather sharp rock. With full size spare would be less worry. Its not hard at all for most its just if you run into some rain (very common up that high) or...
  8. R1S @ Alpine Loop, CO - Cinnamon Pass, California Gulch, Corkscrew Gulch

Did road trip from Phoenix to spend a week in Lake City, CO in my new R1S. No issues and did great on the trails. Did Wager Gulch also which is a little more difficult and it did great crawling up some rougher terrain their too. Nothing like a Relive video to document some trail riding so...
  9. Too much steering wheel feedback over bad pavement

Another update on mine ... Did 1500 miles of driving on vacation from AZ to CO. Wife drove up as I was in the second row seats healing from a back injury. I realized about half way up she never mentioned anything about wheel vibrations etc. even though we had already hit about every type of...
  10. Run high power 12v off jumper cables?

Sorry very poor internet to search this first. Anyone tried running something like a good backup 12V air pump that normally needs direct battery connection using alligator clips off of the 12V jumper cables next to the tow hitch? Also, curious if it will quickly drain the small 12V battery or if...
  11. Tested 35" tires on the R1T - for offroading / overlanding

I have a post with Thurens running 35x11.5 Falken Wildpeak R/T's. The Thuren's give you maximum ability to stuff the biggest tires possible as the 8.0in width helps a lot as well as a little more positive offset. Zero rub so far but only tested minimally in lowest (not sure why anyone would run...
  12. Too much steering wheel feedback over bad pavement

Well, I went down to 30 PSI and it helped a little but all the signs of original problem are still there. Looks like will proceed with the rack replacement.
  13. Too much steering wheel feedback over bad pavement

Thanks for this post. My R1S delivered a month ago has this too. I almost turned around while driving home from delivery to give it back to them once I got on an imperfect pavement highway but my first thought was it was just a very bad balance. Later realized it feels perfect when hit nice new...
  14. Thuren wheels + 35" inch Falken Wildpeak R/T tires on Glacier White R1S

I don't think need different spare. Fairly sure the compact spare on R1S is smaller than any of the standard tires when inflated and there is already about an inch of difference between the street 21in/22in tires vs. the all-terrain 20in AT. My Falken R/T is about .7in taller than the Pirelli...
  15. Thuren wheels + 35" inch Falken Wildpeak R/T tires on Glacier White R1S

I think checked this before mounting them as was a bit worried as they appeared massive, but think found was right at the claimed 34.8in. Not sure though I actually measured this as its all a blur now. I don't plan to have it off the ground soon to check as that is the only fair measurement but...
  16. Thuren wheels + 35" inch Falken Wildpeak R/T tires on Glacier White R1S

Yes, those are brainexploder vinyl for the emblems. I did 1EV chrome trim blackout. Its actually easier than the TWRAPS smoke film on lights as the vinyl is much more forgiving and can be removed and replaced many times with no real effect. I struggled the most with bubbles in the smoke...
  17. Thuren wheels + 35" inch Falken Wildpeak R/T tires on Glacier White R1S

No poke. Its should be noted wheel changes are just tough on these for many reasons, but its hard to understand until you see the way they sit, the fender design, and how the angle of the wheel changes drastically at different heights/as it cycles (which is not really a good thing). The Thurens...
  18. Thuren wheels + 35" inch Falken Wildpeak R/T tires on Glacier White R1S

There was two obstacles I hit and was flexed out pretty good. No rubbing that I noticed in Highest setting. No real need for SC adjust. I am actually now dead on for MPH's so it must have been off when delivered but its also not really a huge change. Even if it was, just know how much off you are.
  19. Thuren wheels + 35" inch Falken Wildpeak R/T tires on Glacier White R1S

Been wanting to do this too so here it is ... sure wish riding in High was a bit more practical (from many perspectives) as its the ticket IMHO
  20. Thuren wheels + 35" inch Falken Wildpeak R/T tires on Glacier White R1S

Been wanting to do this too so here it is ... I have the Yoko XAT on my Cummins. Good tire but they do pick up gravel easy unlike Nitto Ridge Grapplers and seems like the Falken R/T is not going to do this either.
