  2. R1T “vampire” battery drain concerns. Is this normal?

Like everyone else I am hoping a 2023 software update will address this ongoing battery drain issue. For such a “green” company this energy waste goes against their core values.
  3. 12V battery troubles

I wish Rivian would ditch the dual batteries and go with a single lithium 12v battery like Tesla has done. The voltage of a 12v battery is a good way to determine the state of charge. Here's a handy table with the breakdown: State of Charge Voltage 100% 12.7 - 13.2 75% 12.4 50% 12.2 25%...
  4. Received a very low vin

Once you own a pickup you are hooked on the utility and practicality of the vehicle. I recently hauled home a 4' x 10' sheet of Sheetrock with my R1T. The unique gooseneck hinge design lets the bed extend to 7'. It's a great feature that isn't talked about much.
  5. Thinking about returning R1T, need some help.

Yes, the initial batch of 2020 Y's had pretty horrendous workmanship. It's why we waited over a year to order one. My local Tesla store had demo model Y's and we went for a test drive not long after they received them from the factory. The Y that we test drove had a huge 6" long paint run on...
  6. Thinking about returning R1T, need some help.

I heard if you now reject a Tesla on delivery your order starts all over again and it will takes months to get a replacement vehicle. Just a rumor, not a fact.
  7. Pennsylvania SOLD - R1T 295 miles PPF Wrapped

Have you tried Carmax for an offer? They currently have zero R1T’s listed when doing a nationwide inventory search.
  8. Delivery Day!!

    Pics or it didn’t happen!
  9. Thinking about returning R1T, need some help.

Tesla dropped their 7-day return policy in October of 2020. Rivian won’t be far behind. I would love to see photos of the huge panel gap. “Owning a Tesla vehicle means you are driving one of the most advanced, best performing and safest vehicles available. We are confident that you will feel...
  10. R1T “vampire” battery drain concerns. Is this normal?

I expected our new R1T to be similar to our 2021 Tesla Model Y. It’s not even close.
  11. RESOLVED - Truck Bricked (Jumping 12V) & Front Air Suspension Sagging

Well written post with some excellent information. I am confident this thread will help someone out in the future.
  12. R1T “vampire” battery drain concerns. Is this normal?

Thanks for the replies. I must admit that I am a bit shocked by the large amount of battery drain when the vehicle is idle. Part of me wished I kept my F-150 that I flipped for the Rivian. The Lightning had close to zero vampire drain over a weeks time. It’s a night and day difference between...
  13. R1T “vampire” battery drain concerns. Is this normal?

I have owned my R1T for a month. I decided to actually document the battery drain during a 24 hour period after charging to 85%. I was a bit shocked to discover that the truck lost 7 miles/2% of the battery charge in a tad over 24 hours. Truck was parked outside with overnight temps in the 50’s...
  14. Thinking about returning R1T, need some help.

This is a great lesson for those who haven’t taken delivery yet. I suggest doing what I did. Temper your excitement to take delivery and arrive early. Tell your delivery rep that you need roughly 10 minutes to look over the vehicle before the delivery process begins. Because you arrived early...
  15. Received a very low vin

    If your VIN has a “PN“ it’s a 2023 model. 2022’s had a “NN”.
  16. Thinking about returning R1T, need some help.

I’m with you. A 5-hour drive and waiting over 2-months is ridiculous. Ask for a refund. I asked this exact question on delivery day and the Rivian rep. assured me that it would be a 100% refund of the purchase price, destination, DMV fees and taxes. They didn’t mention how long it would take...
  17. CAT/Kratos/Badland 3-ton floor jacks & $300 Harbor Freight Badland model

I considered an air bag jack but if the Rivian air board compressor doesn’t work your basically SOL.
  18. CAT/Kratos/Badland 3-ton floor jacks & $300 Harbor Freight Badland model

After experiencing my old 1.5 floor jack struggle to pickup the corner of my R1T to change a tire I decided its time to upgrade. I have been cross shopping 3-ton floor jacks recently. I was considering the $400 3-ton CAT and the $600 Pro Eagle Kratos and then stumbled across the $300 Harbor...
