Sunday morning eye candy. I live about 2 miles from the Costa Mesa (SoCal) SC and decided to stop by before football. Total of 7 R1S's in the line prepping for delivery and a ton more R1T's. I tried to capture a few different R1S colors and personally I really like the Limestone color (3 photos).

I can only hope that one of those low R1S VINs in BM is mine ;)

For sure. Porsche has the same issue with their Taycan's right now. Have you seen the drone footage of the Fords in some parking lot awaiting parts for delivery. It is massive!

Sorry but I respectfully disagree that the inclusion vs. exclusion of a $2K add-on should dictate delivery schedule. That in itself seems like a pretty good indictment of the issues that plague Rivian at the moment.

Sure hope you are right. I could add the underbody shield, but will hold off and just wait.

I am in the same boat. While I do think there is no doubt that the first R1S deliveries include the underbody shield, I am reluctant to change my configuration. The last thing I want is to wait until 2023 due to a rash decision now. So I am going to sit tight and hope that my window stays firm.

Heard back from my Guide but unfortunately received no further information regarding delivery timing or whether configurations affect delivery timing. I am still confirmed for Oct-Dec. 2022 and that is all the information I have at the moment. I am stoked for everyone getting their R1S's and...

I have an email out to my Guide about SoCal R1S deliveries and will update when I hear back. From what I can tell, current R1S deliveries are for the 20" tires and underbody shield. I suspect, and hope to confirm, that my Oct-Dec window is because I have 22s and no underbody shield.
