Damn. You were right. Hours later it had stopped working again. I called Rivian again and they said someone else had solved the problem recently and they were going to transfer me to him. They did and it was the guy I'd worked with that afternoon. Hated to have to tell him.

The door will open with no problem but no longer closes. Closing it manually is a tricky game. It works best if I press the button and then gently guide it into place, but it still doesn't close flush. I've initiated a repair with Rivian but I'm curious if others have seen similar behavior.
