  1. Dog Platform Bench custom DIY made for R1T back seat

I'll try and get a diagram/template posted. I made a few different versions inspired by what others have posted: 60/40 split - hotdog fold: I also made an insert that just covers the underseat storage. This is a nice option in that I can actually fold the seats down on top of it. Works well...
  2. Vampire Drain - 4.57 kWh/day, 8 miles rated range per day

I saw this as well. It even prompted me to write them a comment via their Contact Us page. I have low expectations that they'll redact that article, which is littered with complete misinterpretations. I legitimately can't tell if it's intentionally misleading to support their well-documented...
  3. Tennessee Rivigear jack pucks - $100

I'll take them. I'll send you a PM
  4. Anybody else’s phone key not start the car today?

Pixel 6A user. My truck didn't wake up as I approached it. Unlocked with the app and no issues getting it to start. Generally PAAK has been decent for me, so it not unlocking as I approach is somewhat of an anomaly.
  5. Jack pucks vs removing panels

Background: My first job was at Discount Tire and I have what I'd consider moderate mechanical experience from working on cars over the years. In preparation to have snow tires put on my R1T, I opted to remove the panels because I too thought $200 was an absurd expense for what is a...
  6. Boston to N.Conway w fam-bam (ABRP)

If you click on the blue portion where it says Wh/mi it will flip to kWh/mi
  7. Boston to N.Conway w fam-bam (ABRP)

You should map this out on A Better Route Planner. When doing so, I would suggest modifying the default settings to a more realistic efficiency (I think it defaults to like 2.3 mi/kWH, which is too aggressive for my risk tolerance). For example, on a recent trip, I estimated at 1.6 mi/kWh given...
  8. Garage Door programming

I have an Overhead Door Co (Model 696CD/B). Unfortunately, no luck programming with a working remote, nor with the Amazon remotes Quattro Powers suggested. I tried several different remotes (both that were included from Amazon, a key fob style remote, and two other working openers). The truck...
  9. 20” Blizzak snow tires installed

I went with OEM size of 275/65/20. Fingers crossed they install without issue.
  10. 20” Blizzak snow tires installed

Just entered tire size. Got a warning the tires don't fit the vehicle but you can continue with checkout. We'll see if we have any issues on install.
  11. 20” Blizzak snow tires installed

Just placed an order for the Blizzak LTs. For what it's worth, Costco is offering $150 back right now. Worked out to ~$1100 after install and tax. Discount Tire is offering $110 back online (and will usually price match/beat it. Give your local store a call). A few thoughts (and this thread was...
  12. R1T Orders: Dec '22 - Jan '23 -- Status Room

Took delivery yesterday as expected. Overall, it was an easy experience. The delivery person/guide was very knowledgeable and an R1T owner. Overall, the truck was in great shape. A few minor issues - couldn't get my garage door opener to pair (Overhead Door Co. - trying a different universal...
  13. R1T Orders: Dec '22 - Jan '23 -- Status Room

The truck should be delivered in the next few hours. I'll admit, the process was insanely rushed (I only had ~12 business hours to work through financing, insurance, registration etc) and while I was able to get through all of it, it was hectic. I'm hoping everything works out. Feel like I know...
  14. R1T Orders: Dec '22 - Jan '23 -- Status Room

Update. I locked my configuration on November 9. Got my 8 steps today (12/1) and was able to schedule delivery for Monday 12/5. A bit of a fire drill trying to get financing and insurance turned around this quickly but....We'll see!
  15. Broken Suspension on R1T ? during PNW Rivian group trip: WA BDR.

I mean....I get it. Vote with your dollars. I'm all for that. To maybe clarify my position a bit better - I knew things were going to break. I accepted that. BUT, I can't see ownership as viable if they can't competently fix whatever breaks AND I have to spend my time shuttling the vehicle...
  16. Broken Suspension on R1T ? during PNW Rivian group trip: WA BDR.

Have either of you pushed back on Rivian? I'm shocked by how many owners seem to be taking this in stride. There's a repeated pattern I'm seeing where: A) Rivian wants you to spend your time getting the truck to/from them (despite promises that this would not be the service delivery model B)...
  17. Iron particles removal after rail transport

Nope. Like I said, it's kind of nasty stuff, so I wouldn't let it dwell/dry on the paint, but it's a tried-and-true product that's well-regarded in the detailing community. Correct. The product reacts to and "binds" to the iron. You'll see the iron-x turn either purple or red (e.g. Sonax wheel...
  18. Iron particles removal after rail transport

Iron-X is pretty nasty, but a very effective product. I use it on my cars ever year or two as part of a decontamination/correction. I'll be interested in how much iron EVs collect given the limited use of friction brakes. I assume they'll still be affected given environmental contamination.
  19. Anyone else get this? Processing estimate...

Another slam dunk by the Rivian PR team..... 6/11/2022 - Rivian communicated a Nov-Dec 2022 estimate 10/21/2022 - Received a "we're not making the powered tonneau" e-mail. Changed my config. 10/28/2022 - Received a "we're not making your color combo" e-mail as delivery estimates went live in...
