I asked my guide about flat bed because I would prefer it and he said likely they will drive it to me because I am within a certain amount of miles of the service center. Maybe because I am in socal?
Did the 8 steps today... Delivery Saturday at 3:30. So excited. Will not be flatbed since I am within a certain amount of miles of service center but still VERY excited. Lots of pics to follow.
This will be the first vehicle (since i was a kid at least) I am keeping outside... Does anyone have any experience with car covers or thoughts on using them? Will they scratch the paint if I try to keep clean?

Quick update... Joked with my guide today that it would be a great birthday gift to get the news I can start my 8 step process and low and behold... at around 6:00 pm he texted me... Birthday wish granted.

thanks for all the input. Honestly, resale isn't factoring in much... For me, it is an upkeep vs cost thing. i will pay X for the benefit of easier maintenance and rock chip protection but then have to baby the Rivian by hand washing, etc.... vs no having the slickness of the ceramic coat, or...

I have always planned on getting PPF and ceramic coating for my Rivian, when i get it, but a thought just occurred to me and I would love to get feedback.
This is going to be kept outside. As much as I would love to keep my Rivian in the garage, it is just not...

yeah... now i just need to research salt based softener vs the non salt version... Non salt is better for the environment and doesn't need salt constantly replaced, but is the best for not leaving spots.
I was wondering that... I am going to get a ceramic coating done professionally, but was thinking of also getting a spray with ceramic coating in it to apply after washing, kind of like the final part of the wash. (not sure what you would call that type of spray, hopefully you know what I mean...
