I’m ok with EREVs on Trucks based vehicles if they can make it work as promised. Everything else including SUVs pure electric. Otherwise just buy an ICE car. You would think if you can afford a $80k vehicle, you probably own a home. So you could charge your vehicle overnight.

SUV and Cars are fine with 350-400 mile range. working trucks you need the towing range. 700 miles with maybe 350 for towing that would be awesome. That’s why I’m hoping Rivian would increase its range on the R1T
I don’t have the dual motor, but I was wondering if anyone know if the rear motors disconnects while towing at highways speeds? That would increase efficiency?
The reason I posted, was to show an interest that maybe in the future, something like this can be developed for those that need to tow long distances. scout is developing something with similar results for their vehicle. but a removable OEM gas extender could be interesting for some folks.
