Wow, glad you’re safe. That was almost a head on collision. I think being attentive and having the skills is what got you out of the near-missed, 15% for Rivian.
I just have recent tire change at America’s Tire also as known as Discount Tire everywhere else outside of California. I watched while they work and even drove up to the service bay myself. I popped open the jack points already just to be sure.
Well, I thought you were talking about South SF service center because that can be a normal scenario. Really wish Rivian can better manage their appointments. If a vehicle is drivable, please don’t let our trucks sit for days and weeks before even looking at them. Pretty pretty please? ??
They are still attaching, though a slight finger tap will fall off. Not a huge issue. Just curious if that in between layer will hold the weight since there’s still a space between that and the frame/metal where you actually Jack up like in the rear.

My 21’s about to go and need to replace them with 20” wheels before our trip to Yosemite in February. Has anyone have experience getting installation and balancing on a third party shops in the Bay Area between SF-San Jose that is not a Rivian Service Center? I know they recommend America’s Tire...
I used to do the wink but nobody and never have seen one initiates or responded to it then I move on to the wave and I get about 50-50.
*Blink= a quick tap on the left turn blinker.
Whatever you decide, do not get the cover from Coverland. They say it’s custom fit but it hardly fits so I tried to return it. Their customer service sucks. After a few frustrating emails, I could not have it anymore that I just asked my credit card company to refund me and they did. I still...
Haven’t experience that at all on my Gen1 but had the windshield camera sensor alert turn on when we were driving for 3+ hours in the rain. I always carry and windshield cleaner and detailer when in road trips.
