I am unfortunately in the same position recently with our R1S. It is going to take a month before they can even look at it which brings up my question.
How did you negotiate the body shop keeping your vehicle charged while it was in their possesion for X number of months?
I am not an electrician so can only tell you my own situation which seems similar.
When I set up my panel+breaker+wiring I was unable to convince the electrician to put in a NON GFCI breaker. I know that complicates things when the breaker AND the charger AND the truck all have GFCI built in...
Is anyone else irrationally irritated at Halloween mode? I hate, really hate, the reminder that we don't actually have control over this expensive car. If you want to give me halloween mode for me to turn off or on anytime I want, great but don't just give and take features on your schedule...
I slipped the key card in my phone's case which works perfectly. I have had to use it several times, twice when I wasn't paying attention and my phone battery ran out and many more when my truck let me in but would not start with my PAAK. I had to use the card to drive which worked fine.
I tend...
I have had this exact thing happen as well. It got so irritating I started carrying around the fob.
Here is what I tried...Unlocking, venting windows, climate control from the app while inside the car never worked.
Deleting and re-installing the app worked about 75% of the time temporarily. I...
Yes to both! Apparently I have a significant number of friends who live in the mountains off of un-signed roads that I could use the navigation app for (do I trust it?) but would rather just use their turn right 1.2 miles past stop sign directions. Drives me batty not having the odometer. Plus...
I/we have a T with 20s and and S with 21s. I can't tell the difference, road noise, smoothness, etc but I am not the most discerning of drivers.
I will say I am regretting getting the 21s. I hate not having options and you can find and put lower rolling resistance tires on the 20s if you...
Nope. What is really odd is how random all of this is. I too have a Pixel 3 (other user above) which has been working really well up until the last update. It still works well except for one extremely annoying feature....
The car opens and closes fine and connects to my phone's bluetooth but...
https://arstechnica.com/cars/2023/07/amazon-has-5000-rivian-ev-delivery-vans-on-the-road/
TLDR;
General positive words about Rivian with some interesting to me details about which cities they are already delivering in and which new ones are planned.
Nope, function over form for me. If I need to eat while getting from point A to point B or while charging in a Walmart parking lot, I have no problems doing that.
If my launch sprays Starbucks all over the back window, still good.
I am hoping your measured/actual mile/kWh is 1.8 and not .18 The difference between what Rivian is reporting and what you are measuring is a combo (I think) of energy loss during the transfer+vampire drain. I think chargers just report what they tried to dump into the truck and not exactly what...
I was really just fishing for the functionality hit when you are off grid and if it was as dire as expected. I totally get the idea that if there is non standard LTE available, there should be a way to use it even if that means paying for it somehow.
I am just mentally prepping for the future...
There must be people in the continental U.S. who take their Rivian to places without LTE connectivity, isn't that some of the marketing message from Rivian? How do all these features work there? Yes I need to go experience this myself, no I haven't done it yet.
