  1. Munro Live: The Future of Rivian: Gen2 Enhancements & R2 talk with RJ Scaringe

Welp it IS winter in the Midwest, after all... Did Tri motors get delivered before colder weather? I haven't paid attention. I am dubious of the claim, as well, but proclaiming RJ is full of it whilst North of the Wall, so to speak, seems a bit misguided
  2. Did the new update break the hvac?

Gen 1 T - I've always struggled with the "auto" setting calling for heat. It'll blow hot for a minute and then start blowing cool and I just figured "ok, ambient temperature is probably correct so it backed off, but they have to fine tune the mix or tweak for a "feels-like" temperature" Now...
  3. Who else had drive cam killed by 2024.39?

Happened to me on gen1 - bought new (different) storage and it works.
  4. Question for Arizona Rivian Owners

Okay so I'm gonna eat my words While my charger app blows, I just found out I can see my history in the Rivian app and based on the delivered energy vs time charging it does appear to charge much slower in July/August. I just plug it in and go to bed so I never realized, and just never seen an...
  5. Question for Arizona Rivian Owners

Wow, my tonneau failed last month and I just got home 15 mins ago from having it replaced. On a Saturday, even.
  6. Question for Arizona Rivian Owners

Same garage here. I think I have 6ga in attic, uninsulated. I went to double check the history on my charger during the hot months but the app is kinda hot garbage and only sometimes captures the delivery rate. But one thing I noticed is that most of my charges are only 1-2 hours because we...
  7. Question for Arizona Rivian Owners

Tucson here, Gen 1 R1T. Been over 2 years and I have a few observations. 1) Service center is super. Yeah, the wait time is not great (like all of them) but I've been impressed by their level of service and willingness to work the issues with you. I also utilize their mobile service as much as...
  8. Survey form

You might post this in r/rivian too
  9. 3D Printed Hitch Receiver Box for tools / storage [STL files] + larger version update!

I just tried printing this - is your son able to make this without being "stretched?" Meaning, it looks like he took the short one and stretched it longer, turning the round holes into ovals so it won't allow a hitch pin
  10. 2024.39 Update Rolling Out

I'm also having this issue - I tried reformatting the card and it still won't connect.
  11. Headlights - Automatic / Manual Mode Switching - undocumented "feature"

Does anyone else find the auto high beam logic lacking? I have to manually control it with the stalk in the end, anyway, because it's so poor - waiting too long to turn off high beams, does not do well with curvy roads when following a car and blinding them randomly...
  12. 2024.31.01 killed Gary

My Gary is currently hiding harder than the real Sasquatch And the UI likes to spontaneously reboot itself.
  13. 2024.31.01 Issue; Suspension Height Enables "Auto" When in Park

I've had all sorts of weirdness after the last update and my completely unfounded, uninformed, unsubstantiated armchair suspicion is that it's related to Google's increasing presence. I noticed on one of my unrequested unexpected spontaneous reboot cycles, it was the nav module that wouldn't...
  14. Turning on HVAC to protect screens, inconsistently.

Mine vents the windows and cranks AC when parked in my garage on hot days.
  15. Outside temperature fiction

Am I the only one here with a reasonably accurate reading? My T reads ~1.5°C / 3°F high of ambient garage temperature. Driving around it reads what it reads, but still pretty normal, even in the blazing desert heat. It might read 104°F instead of 101°F so NBD
  16. Out of Spec's Rivian Route Planning Woes

Nope, I don't believe so In their latest video for planning route "race" back from Vegas they had the same issue, too
  17. Which Regen Mode is Most Efficient?

Yeah I would think low regen > lower resistance from the motors > less energy captured I always drive high regen but it quickly limits on long downhill stretches If low regen generates energy at a lower rate, I presume it would do so for longer without regen limiting itself So do we capture...
  18. Out of Spec's Rivian Route Planning Woes

Tangentially related - I just went in a 500 mile drive and one of my charge stops I had instructions to charge to 68%. I plugged in and started charging. I went to a different UI feature - music or something - and then went back to nav and it says 75%. I thought "huh, could have sworn it was...
