  1. alignment on LOW at SC?

I've considered this as well, but I don't have my Rivian yet. I'll be very interested to see how it works out for you (if you try). Good luck! :-)
  2. Dual Motor Lag

They do test the Conserve mode in the EPA documents. The post shows the EPA documents for Large Pack Dual Motor for R1S in 20", 21" and 22", but not for the R1T. It seems the R1T is slightly more efficient. NOTE4: For the Dual R1T 21", someone clearly put in the wrong number here. I suspect...
  3. Dual Motor Lag

FYI: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/r1-weight-estimate-and-more-for-quad-vs-dual-motors-from-epa-filing.17123/post-365634 The DM is about 121 pounds lighter for the same configuration. Not likely measurable in efficiency, but still something. The EPA tests with All Purpose and...
  4. Cybertruck Highway Range Test by Out Of Spec

Agreed. Maybe @OutofSpecKyle can add an adjustment to choose the starting percentage and/or starting range (at 70mph). It's a very stressful trip for most people to arrive at a charger with 0%. 10-20% seems a lot more reasonable. (Hence the 10% challenge, not the 0% challenge)
  5. Ghetto method of powering the house with a Rivian

Not if it's coming from the internal 12VDC. But, it is 12.5A on the 120VAC side.
  6. R1T Measurement Needed

You could get some ramps to make it a lot easier.
  7. R1T Measurement Needed

Just pull up onto the concrete landing! :D What's an adventure vehicle for if not adventures?!
  8. Rivian Subscription Services - A Look At What's Coming?

I really wonder what they mean by Screen Mirroring in the context of Internet subscription services. Is this mirroring what's on the screen over the Internet to the fleet manager? Or maybe something like Chromecast (or whatever Amazon is using.) Or is it AA/CP? Hmmm...
  9. Ghetto method of powering the house with a Rivian

Just to help applying some more understanding for those that are considering this, what sort of risk does it provide to the utility employees? I think it'd be helpful to keep people from doing it, if they understood these risks to be reasonable and unfortunately likely.
  10. Performance Dual vs Quad - Acceleration, NVH and other differences?

Kind of a lot of complaints about the seats. It's my understanding that moderate padding (like the Rivian) is generally better at preventing sore spots when sitting for a long time. I find that to be the case with my office chair. I like my Model 3 seats fine, and I liked the Rivian seats fine...
  11. Ghetto method of powering the house with a Rivian

No, not everything. You'll need to be selective. But probably the fridge, a few LED lights and a mid size or smaller TV, maybe your cable modem and router too.
  12. Ghetto method of powering the house with a Rivian

I was implying at least 125A. It's also possible it pulls from the high voltage battery or maybe even something in between. I assume it's 12V because It has a pretty standard output 1500W. So they probably sourced it from a prte-existing supplier part.
  13. Ghetto method of powering the house with a Rivian

To do 1500W continuous with the built in 120V outlet, it would need to be 125A.
  14. Ghetto method of powering the house with a Rivian

I'm not sure if I'd do this, but it's an interesting idea. Do you have any ideas about how to know when the mains power has returned? Also, I wonder how much current the Rivian 12V power can supply. I have a 2000W continuous 12VDC -> 120VAC that would be a nice upgrade over the 1500W of the...
  15. Brawley off-road EV!

I didn't realize that was an EV in that video. I guess that's why it was so fast off the line. Are there any better websites for information? (The official one is pretty weak.)
  16. Bosch to Enduro?

This picture shows the disassembled motors as well to see their internal size comparison. But, unfortunately, I didn't put them next to each other directly. I believe the Enduro was just a little bigger rotor and casing (not the technical names). Although, I suspect Munro's tear down did...
  17. Cybertruck scraping bottom, going up a small hill.

I was thinking about this last night. I bet the reason for the underbumper/cyberdiaper is likely for aerodynamic reasons. They probably wanted a lower angle of departure for the air, which seems like it has done the same to the ground.
  18. R1S middle row seat removal easier than expected and wow what a difference.

Even if the 40% mounts into the same spots, the seat belt latch will be on the wrong side. You'd have to find a way to move that too.
  19. R1S middle row seat removal easier than expected and wow what a difference.

Taking out the 1/3rd seems almost as good as captains chairs, but easier to get into the rear.
