I’m sure some self-described analysts will call it a bailout and pair it with a downgrade to sell while you still can in an attempt to cover their short positions.
Time for an end of season update. Today I swapped back to the stock 20” AT tires and wheels.
Totals for the winter season were 6,310 miles for an efficiency of 2.11 mi/kWh. Which compares well to my long-term efficiency of 2.15 mi/kWh. Tread depth on the front tires is down to 15/32”. Rear is...
It was painful to watch them thrashing the R1T with the tent on the crossbars. Surprising, and impressive, that the only damage was a bent crossbar. I expected the whole tent to get launched off the bed at some point.
Interesting to know that it has improved recently. I turned mine off shortly after taking delivery last March. It unlocked so randomly at home that I didn’t trust it to stay locked when parked outside a store or restaurant. I will have to give it another try.
If your plan is to keep the 20s for off road then it might be worthwhile to try a different AT that has a chance of being quieter. The Falken Wildpeak A/T3W and Nitto Recon Grappler A/T have been popular and you should be able to find some useful feedback from other owners here. Personally, I am...
Either magnetic rims or the lack of a spare tire creates a magnetic field or she is just really good at aiming for nails and screws on the road . ?‍♂️ I've started saving them as souvenirs for her. It's quite a varied collection.
The talisman theory really works. I have to plug punctures at least 6 times a year on my wife's 328i that has run flats and no spare. None in the last year on the R1T with my DIY spare.
Doesn’t sound serious, but still not good news.

Fire forces evacuation of Rivian plant
A fire at the Rivian plant in Normal forced the evacuation of the plant for an hour and a half Thursday morning.
The fire...
I stopped by the car wash after work today to undo the mud and dust I added this weekend. I noticed for the first time the car wash mode status picture on the app and had to smile. Fun!
Extensive audio testing and suggested EQ settings for you in this thread.

Received my StowNCharge this week and just installed it. I was happy to find that a tin of Altoids fits nicely in the storage drawer. Now I'm all set for convenient and reliable access to wireless charging and curiously strong mints. :muscle:
Do Tesla owners thank Rivian in the Tesla forums? Every time I pull in to the Sacrament RAN all the L2 stalls are occupied with Teslas mooching off the free chargers.
Doubtful. You won’t get a grounded connection from a light socket. Haven’t used the L1 travel charger adapter myself. But I know it is pretty finicky about grounding on L2.. Yes, there are 3-prong adapters. But a bulb socket only has hot and neutral. So the ground goes nowhere.
