Rivian is a startup and all startups have growing pains. Remember Tesla in the first 2-3 years? When does the latitude for being a startup end though? Right now the service paradigm for repairs is horrible. I picked up my R1S on Dec 2. I noticed 5 cosmetic issues so they said call for an appt...
I concurr that this kind of service is UNACCEPTABLE for a $30K car much less a $100K car. I have only had my R1S 2 weeks and have had the same run around that the author has had. I have fluid leaking from the bottom of the vehicle and they wont send a mobile tech or take the car in for repairs...
just picked up our R1S and that night we noticed a puddle of fluid below the car. Monitored the car and determined that it does leak fluid and from several places. Not sure what the fluid is but 70% chance it is water but since it is from several places, we feel it is unsafe to drive. battery...
I am picking up my R1S this dec 2023 after ordering it 12/2020 and am super excited. The documents show that the vehicle has 100 miles on it?? That sounds like a ton of miles for a new vehicle….any thoughts or experience with this syndrome out there?? Your time is appreciated. JB
Thank you for the in depth feedback. I have had two different Grand Jeep Cherokees over a period of 30 years. I actually used them off road and not just for speed bumps in LA! )) I pick up my R1S on Dec 2nd and hope some of the QC issues have been resolved. I am still flummoxed on how Rivian...
I leased a Chevy Volt for 3 consecutive leases for a total of 9 years. As alluded to above, the tax credit is incorporated in the lease price so I paid $225 for the first lease, then $275/month for the second and finally $285/month. I felt like I was being paid to drive it as I saved $300/month...
Well said all thone small things add up but to not have a full size spare on a very capable off road ADVENTURE vehicle is just beyond comprehension. How many people are actually going to use 7 seats in the R1S?? They could have easily (and they did at first) have a 5 seat option whereby the...
I had 3 leases on a Chevy Volt Hybrid. As I understand it, when the Volts were not selling initially, the dealer took the tax credits fed and state and made the lease super attractive. My first one was $225/month, then the next 3 years-$275/month and the last one $285/month. It was a super good...
Than is for the GREAT write up!! Have done it twice in a Jeep decades ago and cant wait to do it in a R1S withy the new wifie! Are permits still hard to get? Thanks again. JB
In the words of the famous John McEnroe..."you simply can't be serious!!". The price reflects the incredible tech and off road performance not luxury and not meant to be. JB
I leased a Chevy Volt for 9 years with three 3 year leases. The first was $225/month, the second was $275 per month and the last one was $285/month all with very little money down. The rates were so good because of the fed tax credit that is incorporated. There are manyreasons to lease. Mine...
