Keep the Mach E for now. 👍
We had 10,000 trouble-free miles on our 2023 (and we should have kept it). Not so with a 2023 r1t and 2024 r1s - multiple service center visits for recurring issues and new issues in 12 months of ownership. The R2 may or may not be a better vehicle than the R1.

Nope.
We have regen issues arise because of a software update, service center can’t figure it out, seems to go away with another software update, then reappears after another software update. Have done data captures with gear guard recordings, and still no resolution. We were told that the tech...
This!! Combined with the phantom slowdown adaptive cruise on a curvy mountain interstate, and you’ll get the thunk every time the cruise accelerates. A 2-hour road trip from Sacto to Reno had this happening about every minute (on average). Makes a road trip stressful and annoying, especially...
Most likely never because it's meeting "design expectations."
We were told the same thing after a service visit... quality customer service. 👌
Keep setting service appointments for the same issue until they resolve it.
Hopefully changing the battery cures it... our battery was replaced May...
Northern Nevada service center told us that this is how the software is supposed to function. Continue submitting service requests until it's fixed... and we wish you luck getting it fixed (because it must likely won't be). 👍
According to Rivian telephone service, pressing the circle button (power), the “minus” button (volume down), and the play/pause button for 7 seconds will perform a factory reset of the speaker. Any pairings to the speaker will be gone.
For anyone experiencing issues with their car, when an issue occurs, long touch (6 seconds?? ridiculously long timespan of distracted driving to obtain a data capture) the driver name on the center screen until “vehicle diagnostics captured” appears on the upper part of the screen. This is a...
We’ve had this issue on Northern California/Nevada highways, and according to NV service center, this is how the system is designed to operate (emergency braking based upon phantom conditions). 🤔 This is a major design flaw with the cruise control software, and could be easily overcome by...
We have never used the speaker in used 2023 r1t and speaker started making sound in Dec 2024 (had no idea it was the speaker making this sound until April 2025). Had no idea what it was, then sound disappeared. Couple months later sound reappeared and wouldn’t stop while driving. Contacted...
Not us. Thought we’d jump on it after we bought the car, but reading all of the input from others, combined with the $5k price tag, means we’re holding off for now. Had this been priced lower, say $3k, the vehicle probably would be updated.
We’ve contacted Rivian about five times in the past...
As another customer experienced, Rivian provided poor advice that created a worse situation. Think the sage advice going forward for customers in similar situations is to stay put at the charger and let Rivian tow it to the closest service center before driving away from a safer location.
Hope...
