Where are the locations of the 110v outlets? I’ve only seen the one located in the rear cargo area near the air compressor, where are the others? Also, do you have the 12v in the Frunk?
Congrats on your R1S, I’m hoping to see mine April-June 2023
@OutofSpecKyle, I second that. If the R1T and R1S have the same drivetrain and power, I'm not sure why the R1S has so much less towing than the R1T. Is this just due to wheelbase geometry? I would love to see the 11,000 lbs on an R1S ;)
There was one R1S at the Portland delivery site today, my first time seeing it in person. I didn’t enter the lot because it said no trespassing without permission. No employees came out, but I snapped a few pics.
If I go into the "update configuration" they are not selected, but if I look at my build and scroll don to the list of options, they are listed...not sure which one is correct.
Signature says it all.....
5/19/21 pre order for R1T. Had a Oct-Dec 2022 delivery window for the T, switched to the R1S and just received 1st delivery window with the S config. 1st half of 2023.
Wow, good numbers there. I hope to see a R1S soon.
P.S I saw someone in a white R1T on HWY 30 heading west and getting off on 185th ave last night ~10:45PM. Hello, and your truck looked awesome =)
I’m thinking of a situation where you are wanting to haul long lumber. I hope they allow the car to drive with the top lift gate open to accommodate this. I suppose the lumber would then be elevated a bit and resting on the top of the tailgate
How does it not show an image/diagram of where the air compressor is located??? It just says "rear cargo area". Also I wanted to know if it's possible to drive with the rear upper liftgate open and lower tailgate closed, in the case of hauling long items.
@OutofSpecKyle, you mention Rivian needing a clutch pack for locking. Is there a reason why you would need this versus “locking” via software and making the wheel speeds as equal as possible, effectively locking them?
My decision sadly wasn’t around net emissions but rather how I could make the 100A service work. And since we were doing renovations and replacing appliances anyway, it was an easy path to achieve less electrical load.
I am in similar situation with 100A service. We are doing home remodels and I am converting appliances to gas as we go to open up panel space. Not sure if this is an option for you. I also saw devices that will share a dryer plug and switch between them. Not sure your proximity of dryer to EVSE...
Same, I’m curious on storage space for spare and how 3rd row operates. Also how the onboard air compressor is integrated.
Does anyone know if the R1S will have 120v outlets in the rear like the R1T has in the bed/gear tunnel? I really hope they have this feature.
With so little information on the R1S recently, its good to see they at least have a picture in their recent tweet. I can't wait to get more info on the R1S =)
