Just saw your signature, my original preorder date was about seven days earlier than yours. ;)
When I chose my build in the R1 store, the truck was already en route before I finished all the steps! I actually had to delay my delivery as I was on vacation, it came too quickly!
Now that itās...
LE? Does it have a tonneau?
When I got invited to the R1 shop back in Dec, my vehicle was ready for me in a couple weeks here in Portland, OR. Times are a bit different now, donāt know your proximity to a service center⦠that could make a difference.
So, just tested with the crossbars on. Yes, you can fully place the tonneau in its rolled position⦠but itās not as elegant as I had hoped⦠lol! You fold/roll the tonneau close to the crossbar, then slide it underneath and then fold up the slack. A little tricky at first, but absolutely...
Jeeze⦠yeah, I would have PTSD also! Hail here in the NW is usually about the size of rock salt. Small marble size is about the largest Iāve seen here, but itās usually in the form of groupel, which is essentially soft hail. My vehicles have always parked outside in peace⦠;)
I would say it would absolutely not interfere with the front crossbar. The cover rolls up quite small toward the front of the cab. I almost tossed my crossbars on top of my EVSportline tonneau, but the clean look right now is very pleasing⦠;)
I will test later, done playing in the rain right...
Well - it arrived! Shipped in great condition, aluminum brackets are top notch! Installation went well, those front aluminum clamp brackets are a little tricky to get the right height locked in, so do those first before sliding the side brackets forward.
Other than the sky opening up on me...
Well, I have the R1T with 22s... I know it's not quite the same... But I have two preferred drive modes;
- All Purpose, Standard (Auto), Stiff for general driving when solo
- All Purpose, Standard (Auto), Soft for general driving with passengers
And usually on the way home from work;
- Sport...
Iām guessing itās the rear passenger seat belts. The male end of the seat belt buckle will knock against the side of the vehicle, unless I tuck the belt towards the middle of the bench seat to give space between the buckle
And the door frame.
I bet thatās what it is.
Mine shows up on Wednesday (if FedEx is to be believed) ⦠Iāll be sure to chime in here with the results.
Interesting in the photos above it shows the unit as being a āLoProā model by Truxedo? Be curious to see what I receive!
So, my business is in home automation/networking/custom integration. We are now seeing a fallout of multiple of our 'remote access' platforms right now. I strongly think this issue is not limited to Rivian, but is a broader issue.
Looks like progress is being made⦠now get a login error instead of the page simply refreshing.
My suspicion is that itās an AWS issue (Amazon Web Server) ⦠a product my company uses is also currently experiencing issues, and it runs on AWS servers. Amazon owns sooo much of the web and...
Iām still on 2023.2.3, latest update not available to me yet.
I am experiencing EXACTLY what you are since the previous update a few weeks back. Throttled acceleration performance starting around 50% SOC and less, random reduced regen when the battery should be in peak operating temps that...
Iāve owned a Kia Niro EV for a few years now, and their battery care instructions seem to make a bit of sense to me, and Iām employing the practice on my R1T as well. Weāve seen no discernible change in range on the Niro.
In a nutshell: general daily use, charge as needed to 80%. Each month...
So, interesting you post this while Iām struggling with an issue that I would call a āresonance ringingā, service has elevated the issue and doesnāt have an answer yet⦠curious if it is similar to yours or entirely different.
R1T, 22ā wheels, no underbody shield. 159XX VIN
Iāve isolated the...
This is exactly what I did. I had several options I would entertain (outside of Ocean Coast interior) and asked my guide about the R1 shop. Two days later I had access and chose a build and had my R1T in-hand 3 weeks later. (Portland, OR) There were about 25 options to choose from. My vehicle...
Yeah, the Niro EV is over aggressive and will zigzag down the lane at times, the Telluride is sluggish, and will make lazy S-curves down the highway that have to lazily fight. The Rivian will gently nudge me back to center without highway assist on, but with its steering rack, and the excellent...
Funny enough, I also own a ā22 Kia Telluride and ā22 Kia Niro EV, both with their ālane centeringā ⦠both Kias āping-pongā between the lanes, my R1T performs significantly better when using the ālane assistā feature.
Valid points. I have experienced similar āheating experiencesā in EVs Iāve owned, itās a different platform from ICE⦠but it still works fine.. I have three kids and yeah, the R1T is smaller than my Tundra⦠but Iām still going to give it a shot.
