My milage is definitely worse. At 2000 miles I’m at 2.02 average. It has been cold and I’m doing a lot of short drives, but seems worse than OEM. I was at 2.11 before I changed.
As probably the only person that had both tires, the toyos are definitely more efficient. I’m at 1200 miles and overall efficiency is at 2.05. I just did a 550 mile round trip with car completely loaded and had cruise set between 75-78 for most of it, minimal traffic, temps 45-70, some city...
I went with the nitto G3 Terra grappler G3. Same size, 116 load. Very happy with them. Can’t tell if it’s the same range but they are much quieter and smoother than the toyos I had.
I ended up having issues with my Toyo. They think one was out of round. They couldn’t replace them so I switched to nittos. Happy with the change. Much quieter.
I had the experience of having both of these tires. My Toyo’s had an issue causing an atypical noise above 50mph. They thought one of the tires were bad. Since they were out of stock I switched to the nittos. The nittos are definitely quieter and smoother. Can’t comment on efficiency yet as...
Tires are on. Seem very smooth and no vibration/loud hum like I had with the toyos. Definitely quieter than the toyos. So far very happy with the exchange. Have a road trip tomorrow. Will report back m.
It’s a different sound from the drone. The drone is much better. It’s more of a sound like the rumble strips on the side of the highway, but obviously not as extreme. I have 1000 miles and it hasn’t gone away.
An update…. The “hum” also had a vibration. Did a road trip recently and it’s pretty annoying. Tore shop tried balancing again and there was no difference. Did a test drive with tire shop manager and he said it’s not normal. Probable Ana out of round tire. Unfortunately he said the tires...
Can’t give much update on range as I have not done any road trips yet and I’m sitting at about 1.95 at 200 miles. This is all short commute driving in my city. Have a road trip thanksgiving weekend so I’ll have more data at that point.
There is a hum/vibration that is very noticeable at...
These seem very smooth, possibly smoother than the pirrellis. So far I am very happy. Need more miles to comment on range. Haven’t done a road trip yet.
The shop accidentally installed the LT instead of SL. They got both shipped. I got the SL installed today. Notice big difference on range. My lifetime average for car is 2.15 mi/KW. 30 miles on the LT I was at 1.82.
26 miles on the SL at 2.14 and I ended my drive at the top of the hill by...
Tires are on. Much quieter than my OEM tires at 17k. Drives smooth. Seems to handle similar to the Pirelli tires Have not driven enough to comment on range. Will post pictures tomorrow. They set pressure to 48
