On another note, does anyone know if snow mode is full time AWD/4WD?
Had an interesting scenario the other day on a slick driveway that has a slight incline. The only mode my R1S could get up the driveway in was Sport? Is this because Sport is the only full time AWD/4WD mode?
That has me...
Truthfully, this article is the same kind of dog sh*t stuff my mom would send to me as well. I hope Rivian knocks Q4 deliveries out of the park and that they can get their service act together. They do need to turn the tide of pessimism around, however.
Unfortunately yes. Chicago service center is pretty back logged and I guess our concerns are deemed to be minor.
I am hopeful that after the end of Q push for deliveries that our appointment will be moved up to a sooner date.
Yes to all. My real life range in this truck has been far less than advertised. We drive in AP mode as Conserve only shows as 20 miles or so extra range. Also Conserve Mode for for my R1S feels like I'm constantly fighting to keep it centered in lane, regardless of speed.
We expressed these...
Lol, YES. Gear shop describes the 22" wheel set as a "Sport wheel and tire set". In the description it characterizes the tires as all season. Not confusing at all...

The biggest benefit of winter tires is STOPPING grip. They won't stop all sliding but they are exponentiallly better at stopping in winter conditions than all season tires, particularly on EVs that utilize regen braking.
100% true. They cannot adequately service the 25k or so vehicles they have in service. Early adopter tax to the extreme. I have several issues as well and am told first available appointment is, get this..March 8, 2023. Not a good look.
