Thanks for the write up, photos, and video Dan! Great addition showing exactly where the horn is located and how to gain access to it.
We will get an install video for the passenger side version on the next one that rolls through here, but I think the last 10+ have all been driver or dual...
I know of someone who had the service 12V system message, and Rivian couldn't come out for another two week to check it out, but it drove just fine. Over that period waiting for the tech to show up, they installed a horn on their R1. When the tech was there to change out the battery, they only...
Thank you for the order, kind words, and great feedback. We always love to see when people appreciate the hard work that our team puts into designing and creating a product!
Thanks again!
Hi...Thank you for your order and feedback. The passenger side version instructions are getting modified right now to specify that the factory horn is located on the passenger side to eliminate any confusion. Also, adding in photos and instructions on plugging in the Y-Connector to the end of...
Thanks for the feedback! Glad to hear the video helped make it a bit easier to follow along with.
I agree with the sound. Real life sounds deeper and louder than what is captured in the videos.
Great seeing you today @a76marine Your R1 not only looks awesome, but now sounds awesome too! Can’t believe I didn’t get a clip of you pulling out honking, but it sounded perfect. Thanks again!
I wanted to give an update for those waiting on the factory passenger side horn upgrade. The kit is now ready and live on our site. For those of you that preordered the passenger version, we will be shipping those out this week.
Thanks again everyone for the orders...
Just sent you a DM. I have kits available, but need to finalize instructions for the passenger side wire harness routing. Everything coming through the shop for the last month has been drivers side or dual horns.
If anyone in the Chicagoland area has a single passenger side horn and would...
Hey Doc...Thanks for the info. I don't believe this has to do with the compressor or is weather/temperature related. First thing would be to check your connections and fuse. You can pull just the upper trim panel closest to the windshield to gain access. If everything checks out with that...
Thank you! I sent you a DM with some more info. There are quick step by step instruction photos a little earlier in this thread that you can take a look at too. Should have a video ready in the next couple of weeks that I’ll post up once it’s all set.
We had to opportunity to meet another great forum member and install a set of our black Stainless Steel running boards on his R1S the other day. They came out awesome! The R1 will be getting a bath soon after the freshly installed RWCev running boards.
And take a look at the lower plastic...
Had the opportunity to meet another forum member this week and do a horn install with him. Such a tough sounding truck now! Thanks again Chuck!
