As others have noted, get multiple quotes., and if possible go local. Local companies are familiar with the local permitting process, so your install will go a lot smoother.
I went with Tesla about 18 months ago, because they were the cheapest of several quotes I got. Tesla was a nighmare. ’i...
Good luck! I just dropped mine off this morning to the Miami Service center for a second attempt at a balancing and tire rotation…
I just got a new tire for my Tesla at Discount Tire yesterday, I think they would be a good candidate for a Rivian partnership.
Window venting feature does not work for me. Called Rivian and they had me open/close my windows to calibrate, but no luck. Waiting to hear back from them on this.
You are not being unreasonable at all. I have a similar experience. Took Delivery of my trunk in early June. The delivery folks were kind enough to inform me of a couple of issues, in addition to 2 other issues I found. I immediately submitted trouble tickets and about a month later got a...
My Rivian Wall Charger worked fine for two months and a few weeks ago started tripping the 50 Amp breaker. It would charge for about 7-10kWh then trip the breaker
As per Rivian’s advice, I moved down from 48Amps to 40 Amps using the dip switches in the charger, but still experience the same...
As others have noted, I am only obsessed with range on long trips if I have to depend on EA charging. With the Tesla SC network and destination charging,. range anxiety is minimal.
And yes, I agree, drive as fast as you can, and enjoy your vehicle without babying it. Life is short, and you...
Glad to see the availability of Tesla SCs getting closer.
Aftear my first hand experience with EA on short and long trips, I term them -SHG. Stinking Hot Garbage. We need the same availability and a better experience than smelly fossil fuel gas stations. I want EA to succeed as a credible...
Getting the spare out is easy….if you follow directions and remove the spindle in the middle that is used to bolt the cover down. If you don’t want to remove the spindle, pop the cover all the way up and lift the tire over it, but that’s heavy and a pain unless you have help.
I am grateful this...
So I woke up this morning and saw that I had a flat tire,
I pulled the spare wheel. Jesus, that thing is heavy. Followed instructions (Well not really, as we shall see) and jacked up the front of the truck.
Before I jacked up the truck, I loosened the lug nuts, then lifted the truck and put it...
Parked my truck at an airport as my family and I are on a 10 day vacation out of the country. Updated to 23.05 two days into my trip and so far on day 4, I have lost an average of 2.5% of range per day.
Sorry if this is a redundant question, but anyone experienced this level of phantom drain?
I am sorry for your experience. The CCS charging experience can be a downer, on top of the issues with a new car company. But, give it some thought, have Rivian take a look at the truck, and if you still don’t trust the RIT, then sell it and make some money. We are all trusting that in a year or...
I have encountered more issues in one wkd trip using EA charging than over 3 years experience with Tesla SC. The NYTimes just did a piece on SC reliability and quoted a report that stated 25% unavailable rate for SC stations nationally. That has been my experience with CCS chargers. I think it...
Oh. I made it. The R1T is a champ, and a pleasure to drive. But its not fun wondering whether you will be able to get some juice or not at your next stop. At least now I know to use the EA/ABRP apps to map out alternatives in advance, something I never think about while driving the Tesla.
