Thanks, so if possible, buy it out asap. I’m guessing you need 1 month for the lease to settle, so $7500-1/36 of Rent Charge. Additional questions if you don’t mind or for anyone else here who can advise:
Does Rivian/Chase claw back the incentive if after buying out for 1 month?
I leased...
It can?
I don’t think so. To clarify, you can control and move the Lightship when it’s unhitched via the Lightship app? It can go forward and back, swivel, like the PF?
I live in NJ and drive my R1S into NYC a few times a month. No issues taking the FDR or West Side Highway and driving in the city, and I drive aggressively. I’ve parallel parked on streets, used parking garages. No issues.
So true.
I sometimes forget how much I am saving especially when my at-home charging costs are ridiculously low in my area. You need to compare the cost of gas for somewhat similarly sized vehicles - Range Rover, BMW X7, Chevy Tahoe, Ford Expedition, Audi Q7 , Acura MDX, Honda Pilot, Kia...
I actually wish the R1S was larger, but I’ve grown to love the size. I’m considering a Tahoe Diesel as my second vehicle, primarily for family road trips and hauling. For local, daily driving, the R1S has been great. I don’t think I can ever drive something smaller.
I chose Lease for the following reasons:
I primarily use it for a new business so I write off a good portion of lease payments and related expenses.
Hedge against uncertain future value and vehicle accidents.
I’d like to see repairs and replacement costs go down over the next 2-3 years...
North Jersey here and I am seeing a lot more, particularly the R1S, but not enough imo. The R1S is a FANTASTIC vehicle. I have been obsessed with the Chevy Tahoe for years, I love the size, the interior space, the rugged true SUV truck feel and look, but never pulled the trigger because the...
I have it on the strongest setting and wish it was stronger. And this is in comparison to the BMW iX which my wife drives. It doesn’t bother me or my wife or kids. You will learn to control it and then eventually love it.
I have similar purchase price and monthly lease payment numbers as OP and also live in NJ. I will continue to lease, primarily because I am using the vehicle for legitimate business purposes and will save about 227 per month via business deductions. I also am wary of Rivian’s future and don’t...
it’s random, but always occurs when suspension height is changed, and started last week (I got this car on 9/28).
I have a mobile appointment for November (squeezing it in with other existing issues on same day) but it’s under review. I’ll likely call and ask to take it in.
Picked up my Gen 2 R1S Premium Audio Standard Pack 9/28. Ordered from shop 9/16. Amazing vehicle. My first “truck” and non-unibody SUV. I really like it. Astonished that I don’t have to spend $400 plus on fuel for a 3 row truck of this size. I was real close to buying a Chevy Tahoe.
I’m...
Picking up this week as well and expect an absolute mess given the month end numbers. I am fairly sure that these vehicles haven’t been inspected since departure from Normal, IL.
